Sales Accountant - Fanatics Collectibles

Fanatics Collectibles is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Accountant to join our finance team in Frankfurt. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our sales operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing valuable financial insights to support our business growth. Fluency in both German and English is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Sales Revenue Management:
   • Monitor and record all sales transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
   • Reconcile sales accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
   • Manage and maintain accounts receivable, including invoicing customers and following up on outstanding payments
2. Financial Reporting:
   • Prepare sales forecasts and reports, providing insights into sales performance and trends
   • Assist in the preparation of financial statements related to sales revenue
   • Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to provide accurate sales forecasts and budget reports.
3. Tax Compliance:
   • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, particularly VAT (Umsatzsteuer), related to sales transactions
   • Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns and other tax-related documentation
4. Customer Account Management:
   • Maintain detailed records of customer accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and up to date
   • Handle customer inquiries related to billing, payments, and account discrepancies
   • Provide support in managing credit control processes, including credit assessments and limits
5. Process Improvement:
   • Identify opportunities to streamline sales accounting processes and improve efficiency.
   • Participate in the development and implementation of new accounting procedures and systems.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
   • Work closely with the sales team to understand business needs and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
   • Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and logistics, to ensure smooth sales operations.
7. Sales and Finance Support:
   • Planning and processing of all payment transactions at home and abroad
   • Supporting the sales team in the preparation and follow-up of quotations, orders and invoices.
   • Managing customer contacts and maintaining the CRM database.
   • Creating sales reports and analyzing sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Sales Accountant, Accounts Receivable Accountant, or in a similar role.
• Fluency in both German and English is essential, with strong communication skills in both languages.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong understanding of German accounting standards (HGB) and tax regulations, particularly related to sales and VAT.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data entry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of the trading card industry is a plus but not required.
