Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Receiving Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the receiving department at our card manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely receipt of inbound materials—including board stock, packaging supplies, and job-specific specialty items - while maintaining quality standards and inventory accuracy.

The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all team members are properly trained and understanding the objectives to be accomplished each day. The Receiving Supervisor communicates with the Inventory Manager and the Logistics Director on a regular basis to align on departmental needs, goals, and concerns to be addressed. The Receiving Supervisor also communicates daily with representatives from other departments to ensure that material needs are met, and inter-departmental issues are addressed and quickly resolved. 

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and coordinate the receiving of all inbound materials, components, and specialized work order products.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and compliance with company standards and purchase order requirements.
  • Ensure timely data entry and inventory updates in the company’s ERP system.
  • Lead, train, and schedule receiving staff; monitor performance and enforce safety and quality procedures.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and inventory control teams to align receiving activities with production schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area in compliance with company standards.
  • Resolve receipt discrepancies with vendors and other internal departments.
  • Generate reports on receiving metrics, discrepancies, and inventory levels.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Provides updates to the Inventory Manager and Logistics Director on the overall progress of the team, discussing goals, challenges, and concerns, and working together to quickly resolve any outstanding issues. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse/receiving operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in manufacturing or consumer goods industries; knowledge of sports trading card production a plus.
  • Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with company production processes, including packaging, quality control, and storage requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, especially during peak release cycles.
  • Detail oriented

  • A problem solver, able to troubleshoot and solve issues, and work with the team to implement solutions that will be beneficial to the overall process.

  • A good communicator, able to work effectively with a group of people with diverse personalities and temperaments.
