Full Description

The primary responsibility of the Raw Material Quality Engineer is to ensure the overall quality of products being produced at their assigned facilities. This is accomplished through good communications of expectations and continuous monitoring for adherence to established quality standards and specifications. The RMQ Engineer will also set up quality programs, quality reporting, provides expertise, and assist manufacturing with problem solving to meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the correct understanding and implementation of Fanatics policies and procedures in our T2 suppliers.
  • Visit and audit our T2 factories manufacturing the raw materials used in Fanatics products along the Western Hemisphere.
  • Analyze and propose solutions related to raw materials when needed.
  • Assist PI Director with special projects and additional responsibilities as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Years of Related Professional Experience: 10+ in companies associated with apparel raw materials (preferable)
  • Advanced Experience in Textile Manufacturing Processes (Spinning, Knitting, Weaving, Dyeing, Finishing, Cut, and Sew)
  • Advanced Experience in Quality Management Processes, for Textiles
  • Experience Implementing Quality Control Processes at Textile Mills
  • Experience Conducting Textile Mill Technical Audits
  • Proficiency Inspecting Textile Fabrics
  • High Level of Color Acuity
  • Experience in Color Measurement of Textiles
  • Proficiency in Apparel Measurement and Audits
  • Advanced Understanding of Textile Testing (Standards, Specifications and Protocols… AATCC, ASTM, ISO, BIS, JPN, etc.)
  • Advanced Knowledge of Trouble-shooting and Problem Solving for Textiles and Apparel (6 Sigma, 3 Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Scientific Method, Kaizan, Benchtop Chemistry, etc.)
  • Experience Analyzing Statistical Process Controls (6 Sigma, 3 Sigma)
