FIFA World Cup 26 Skills Framework

The Rate Card Coordinator will be dedicated to supporting the planning, coordination, and oversight of the Transport Rate Card Program and will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of transport services in accordance with approved rates, procedures, and tournament-specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Reporting organisationally to the Manager, Transport Client Services – Teams, the Rate Card Supervisor will be a key member of the FIFA World Cup 26™ (FWC26) Event Transport teams. The role will work in close collaboration with FIFA26 Transport workstreams, including Bus, Fleet, Arrivals & Departures (A&D), and Venue Transportation Operations, as well as the appointed transport Supplier, to support the planning and delivery of transport services requested through the Rate Card Program.

This role supports transport operations on both match days and non-match days across all official sites, including stadiums, team hotels, training sites, airports, and other official FIFA locations.

They will be responsible for ensuring that all Rate Card–related transport information, documentation, communications, presentations, and electronic (web-based) tools are accurate, up to date, and delivered in line with defined processes and timelines.

The Rate Card Supervisor will work closely with the appointed Supplier to oversee the day-to-day implementation of the Transport Rate Card Program, supporting the identification, confirmation, and delivery of transport services requested by eligible client groups.

The main responsibilities and oversight of the Rate Card Supervisor – Transport Client Services (Teams) FIFA World Cup 26™ include: 

  • Support the day-to-day management and implementation of the Transport Rate Card Program in coordination with FIFA26 Transport and the appointed Supplier. 
  • Coordinate and track vehicle requests submitted through the Rate Card Program, ensuring compliance with approved rates, booking timelines, and operational procedures. 
  • Monitor vehicle availability, allocation, and utilization to support effective service delivery in line with agreed SLAs. 
  • Act as a key operational point of contact with the transport Supplier for Rate Card–related matters, supporting issue resolution and service adjustments as required. 
  • Coordinate with FIFA26 Transport workstreams (Bus, Fleet, Venue Transport, and A&D) to ensure Rate Card services are fully integrated into overall transport operations. 
  • Support budget oversight activities related to Rate Card services, including usage tracking, reconciliation support, and reporting. 
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting related to Rate Card vehicle usage and service delivery. 
  • Support the development and maintenance of Rate Card–related policies, procedures, and guidance materials. 
  • Identify operational risks related to Rate Card transport services and escalate issues as required, supporting mitigation planning. 
  • Provide operational support during pre-tournament events, test events, and tournament-time operations. 
  • Support the Manager, Transport Client Services – Teams with additional transport coordination and client services tasks as required. 

Education & Qualifications 

  • Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Transport Planning, Sports Management, Hotel Management, Project Management, Event Management, Major Sport events or a combination of education and experience relating to position. 

Work Experience 

  •  Minimum of two (2) years transport work experience: preferably within the major football or sport event; ideally more than one world class sport event (e.g. FIFA World Cup and / or Olympic Games, regional football tournaments, etc.). 
  • Experience of working with Teams/PMAs, or similar client groups, with a good understanding of their needs and requirements and the criticality of ensuring the transport services operate seamlessly.   
  • Experience working in multi-functional event organisations and in dynamic and fast paced environments.  
  • Experience of event transport planning including bus operations.  
  • Experience leading a team and proven project delivery experience. 
  • Experience and knowledge of Workforce transport requirements is an advantage.

  • Strong interpersonal skills essential. An ability to work effectively as part of an existing team and communicate effectively with both internal and external parties. 
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic working environment, handling multiple tasks and deadlines and adapting to the developing needs and demands of the organisation.

Languages 

  • Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus 

Technology 

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
