The Role
The London office is looking for an Assistant to join the Global Property Solutions Team. Property Solutions supports the global CAA Sports Property & Endorsements Sales Group as their in- house, partnership strategy and sales enablement team. From naming rights deals to first-of-its-kind collaborations, you will be an integral member of a group that creates solutions to achieve an advertiser’s objectives in sports marketing.
This role will support one of the team’s Co-Heads based in London and a Strategy Executive, while working out of CAA Sports International HQ in London. This person will be responsible for providing administrative support to both the internal team and our clients, which include the likes of Formula 1, Chelsea FC, Oracle Red Bull Racing, Visa Cash App RBs, The Vegas A’s, and RIOT Games, as well as conduct brand and industry research, including mining fan data and insights to support sales communications built by the Global Property Solutions team. This role will work alongside an experienced group of sports professionals and make a direct contribution to CAA and its core clients – including being in lock step with your counterpart in New York who supports the team’s other Co-Head and Strategy Executive.
The ideal candidate is motivated, quick-thinking and highly organized with the ability to multitask. The individual has a strong interest in marketing and is naturally curious about industries, brands, strategic partnerships, and the sports landscape.
Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support for the London-based Property Solutions Co-Head and Executive, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, expenses, answering calls.
Contribute to building an internal repository of brand and rightsholder information to include:
Sales enablement materials including property client overviews, open categories, insights and fan data, case studies, etc.
Non-exclusive property client network and their USPs.
Relevant industry news and data.
Collaborate with the Brand Solutions team to maintain repository with the most up-to-date content and ensure access to the larger sales group.
Support Property Solutions Co-Heads, alongside your New York counterpart, in developing operational strategy with property clients.
Liaise with our clients and the wider CAA Sports sales team in New York, Munich, Jordan, Singapore, and China to keep up-to-date with the latest opportunities.
Record notes at meetings, prepare agendas and call recaps / action points as and when needed.
Support the Global Property Solutions team by conducting custom research on targeted brands, their industries and the audiences they value.
Work alongside the Property Solutions team and Property Sales assistants to create targeted prospect lists for specific sales processes.
Work closely with the Property Solutions’ New York-based Project Coordinator to ensure that projects are being briefed into design and delivered in a timely manner.
General assistance with ongoing projects including building decks, outlines for design, and internal event logistics support etc.
Qualifications
Passionate about sports, entertainment and contemporary culture and an enthusiasm to proactively seek out and broaden their knowledge about the sports marketing industry and CAA’s clients.
Some experience in a marketing or research-focused role is desirable.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent MS Word skills inc. PowerPoint, Excel and Word, as well as Google sheets and docs.
Willingness to learn how to use syndicated tools such as GWI, YouGov, MRI, Demographics Pro etc. and further develop data mining skills as needed.
Previous experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) is a plus but not required.
Team oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter attitude with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, juggling multiple tasks simultaneously.
