Full Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Using state of the art computer equipment, creates high-quality production ready art. Interprets orders received from customer service, discusses questions with team leaders prior to starting order. Creates the artwork specified on art form. Job tasks include copy setting, scanning, touching up customer-provided artwork, using stock mascots, and using a drawing package. Processes work onto paper, film or digital.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Prepares print ready digital files for various digital printing devices.
• Prepares color separated files for film output for traditional screening processes. This includes the ability to manufacture trap and make color adjustments to accommodate for press gain or loss for simple designs.
• Creates artwork specified to instructions on the art form. This effort can include the following tasks: typesetting, scanning, retouching, creating vector art from a photograph, utilizing stock mascots, or designing a product to either customer request or to a standard predetermined layout.
• Create and supply files to vendors to the various specifications of these vendors.
• Knowledgeable about manipulating files in Illustrator and Photoshop and to a lesser degree in InDesign.
• Knowledge of the basics associated with bills of materials and routings on shop packets.
• Knowledge of the differences between custom and stock production art work flow and the ability to switch from one to the other with ease.
• Basic understanding of creating personalized print files.
• Working knowledge of all the product, print, and finishing requirements within WinCraft.
• Inspects own work critically.
• Inspects others work critically and have the ability to communicate problems and concerns in a professional manner.
• Actively solicits additional work when assigned work has been completed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• High school graduate or its equivalent.
• Adobe suite
• Experience with Illustrator and Photoshop preferred.

• Demonstrates high attention to detail, level of concentration, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, team player.
• Good color perception.
• Ability to conceptualize, create, and present ideas.
• Ability to manage projects in an organized fashion and meet deadlines.
• General Artistic ability.
