GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in planning to drive revenue, profitability, margins and channel/account segmentation. (100%)
- Through understanding of our product life cycle and all product lines.
- Support management of lifecycles from concept to delivery.
- Makes key business decisions and influences certain creative decisions for projects in assigned categories.
- Assist with product brief creation, where needed.
- Works with Product teams on seasonal/quarterly/monthly business initiatives.
- Develop understanding of brand, customers and consumers. (75%)
- Support creation of seasonal sell-in summaries and analysis as well as seasonal post-mortems utilizing SMU bookings and sell through data.
- Develop and maintain accurate margin analysis to help drive informed strategy.
- Complete style/SKU productivity analysis to determine the appropriate investment of SKU's.
- Communicates to Design, Product Development, Customer Service, Marketing and Demand Planning (100%)
- Assist in the communication of milestones and product updates to product team in a timely manner.
- Product line data is updated, maintained and communicated daily.
- Customer feedback has been compiled and analyzed.
- Information regarding accounts and channels has been consolidated and summarized.
- Responsible for accurate and timely entry and management of product data for assigned business. (50%)
- Utilize and update PLM systems to manage SMU's.
- Product data is consistently maintained and communicated to the product team and external partners.
- Manage product creation calendar, product status and upcoming deliverables. (75%)
- Detailed understanding of teams, framework, process, systems and key product deliverables.
- Risk assessment and communication of successful delivery to meet launch dates.
- Regional SMU's and priorities schedule is maintained and updated frequently.
- Work both independently and with product teams and external customers to support sales in time for sell in.(50%)
- SKU set-up and product flow timelines.
- Creates support tools to ensure product initiatives and details are effectively communicated to sales throughout the organization.
- Sample management.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Merchandising, Manufacturing, Apparel or related field; or a commensurate level of professional experience (5+ years) is acceptable without a degree
Knowledge Skills and ABILITIES:
- Minimum 3 years of product merchandising/creation experience
- Headwear experience preferred
- Strong financial and business acumen, with comprehensive understanding of the product development, manufacturing, and retail processes.
- Effective presentation, interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work professionally and efficiently with sales, marketing, production and operations departments
- Strong understanding of merchandise buying and basic math/financial skills
- Intermediate experience with fashion, color and trend analysis
- Experience in using and utilizing sales data to analyze and steer a business
- Intermediate skill level in Google Suite, MS365 Suite, Product Line Mgmt systems, as well as familiarity with data warehouses and database management
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast pace and dynamic environment
- Experience in identifying the right products to meet brief requirements
Ability to travel up to 15% of the job
The salary range for this position is $77,000- $81,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
