THE POSITION

FanDuel is seeking a Senior Associate, Customer Marketing to help execute lifecycle marketing strategies for FanDuel Predicts, driving engagement and long-term customer value across every stage of the customer journey from onboarding and activation through retention and re-engagement. Working closely with cross-functional partners, you'll bring lifecycle campaigns to market, analyze performance, and identify opportunities to optimize the customer experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining data-driven insights with creative thinking to deliver personalized campaigns that improve customer engagement and business outcomes while continuing to grow as a lifecycle marketer.

This is a role sits at the intersection of strategy and operations. You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on operational excellence - diagnosing customer behavior problems, developing data-driven hypotheses, designing and optimizing customer journeys, orchestrating promotional and communications campaigns, and continuously improving based on learnings. You'll think independently, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities to improve reactivation, retention, and customer lifetime value. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on ownership, combines analytical rigor with creative problem-solving, and wants to meaningfully shape how FanDuel connects with and grows its customer base.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Contribute to the development and execution of core lifecycle marketing strategies across retention, monetization, and re-engagement stages using advanced segmentation, leveraging communication and promotional capabilities.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities to improve key metrics, develop business cases, and partner with Marketing leadership to shape roadmap priorities.
  • Execute end-to-end campaigns at scale. Ensure flawless execution and own ongoing performance monitoring and reporting.
  • Partner with Commercial, Analytics, Product, and CRM Operations to identify lifecycle initiatives and recommend improvements based on customer insights.
  • Build and maintain customer audiences and segments using behavioral and transactional data to deliver more relevant customer experiences.
  • Identify experimentation opportunities to improve core metrics. Develop hypotheses, design A/B tests and multivariate experiments, partner with Analytics to understand impact, and scale learnings.
  • Translate data into compelling stories that drive action. Monitor campaign performance and customer behavior to identify optimization opportunities and improve lifecycle journeys.
  • Drive personalization and automation by leveraging real-time signals to deliver the right message, at the right time, through the right channel.
  • Collaborate with marketing technology and data teams to enhance automation capabilities, audience targeting, and measurement frameworks.
  • Partner on market insights, data science, and product roadmaps to improve lifecycle outcomes and deepen understanding of customer behavior.
  • Leverage strong expertise in lifecycle marketing best practices, influencing broader marketing, product, and promotional strategies across the business.
  • Continuously evaluate campaign performance and customer behavior to iterate on strategies that increase retention, engagement frequency, and overall customer lifetime value.
  • Leverage AI strategically. Use modern tools to enhance analysis and productivity while maintaining critical thinking and attention to detail.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 3+ years’ experience in marketing, commercial, or similar.
  • Fundamental understanding of marketing platforms, Email Service Providers, and Customer Data Platform Technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of sports betting, prediction markets, iGaming, or online gaming—demonstrated through active use and/or direct work experience.
  • Strong understanding of marketing and commercial metrics.
  • Strong design thinking skills and effective at project management.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver projects and campaigns.
  • Highly organized with acute attention to detail and ability to prioritize and execute on multiple projects across various stakeholders.
  • Results oriented and metrics driven, with the need to be objective and measure performance.
  • Strong analytical approach to decision making with experience of delivering against business outcomes.
  • Collaborative team player, proactive thinker, and pragmatic problem-solver.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of sports, casinos, culture, politics, and/or experience working within a heavily regulated industry is a plus.
  • Willing to work some non-traditional hours.

The applicable salary range for this position is $86,000 - $108,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
