Position Summary: As the Power Platform Associate Developer, you'll will be responsible for owning and maintaining extensive data marts, constructing cloud data pipelines and semantics data models supporting in-depth analysis, and working closely with stakeholders to establish significant success metrics to uncover trends, key success metrics and own ad-hoc deep dive investigations into existing customer journeys to identify root causes of issues and surface improvement opportunities. Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing data pipelines, metrics, reports, visualizations, analyses, dashboards to drive business decisions.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a robust application within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem to collect operations (manufacturing, scheduling, quality) data and securely store in the Microsoft Azure cloud. You will engineer, design & deploy holistic data warehouses (DW) to facilitate a semantic tabular model in Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services.

This role will involve developing complex models and analytical approaches and creating project plans for tasks such as manufacturing utilization and identifying innovative data sources and collection methods for advanced data analyses. This work will drive detailed Power BI reporting and visualization, ensuring solutions align with business needs and enhance operational efficiency through data-driven insights. It will be crucial in improving manufacturing visibility, advancing quality initiatives, developing dynamic and refreshable dashboards, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, you will support the synthesis of work, generate actionable findings and recommendations, and assist in crafting final written and oral presentations for business leaders.

What you will be doing…

  • Application Development & Data Management: Spearhead the design and deployment of custom applications within the Microsoft Power Platform, focusing on the secure capture and storage of operational data across manufacturing, scheduling, and quality teams. Architect and implement robust data warehouses that integrate structured and unstructured data sources, providing a scalable foundation for advanced analytics and reporting. Analyze user needs and software requirements to assess design feasibility within defined timeframes and budget constraints.
  • Cloud Data Pipelines & Automation: Design and maintain cloud-based data pipelines in Azure, ensuring seamless integration of diverse data sources from cross-functional teams. Automate data ingestion processes with continuous optimization creating streamlined ETL/ELT workflows to consolidate data into a centralized cloud environment, establishing a single source of truth and improving operational efficiency.
  • Power BI & Advanced Analytics: Build and optimize dynamic Power BI dashboards and reports, enabling stakeholders to visualize key metrics (KPI's) and business trends. Conduct comprehensive data analysis to uncover actionable insights and solve complex business problems. Apply advanced statistical techniques such as regression and correlation analysis to drive predictive analytics and informed strategic decision-making.
  • Data Modeling & Optimization: Develop and refine tabular models within SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), creating accurate dimensions and measures to support reporting and data analysis. Continuously optimize data models and Power BI processes for speed, scalability, and cost-efficiency, while ensuring the reliability of BI solutions by applying mathematical and statistical methodologies to address challenges.
  • Data Governance & Security: Ensure that data collection, storage, and analysis adhere to industry best practices and security standards, particularly in cloud-based environments like Microsoft Azure. Utilize programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) to automate tasks, implement custom user roles to limit data access, enhance workflows, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Agile Development & Continuous Improvement: Lead the implementation of CI/CD pipelines within Azure, following Agile methodologies to ensure iterative and consistency in automation of release processes and delivery of BI solutions. Innovate data collection methods to enhance analytical capabilities, continuously advancing the organization's business intelligence strategy.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with business stakeholders to define critical success metrics and lead initiatives to identify performance trends and root causes of operational issues. Translate complex technical findings into business-friendly insights and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership. Effectively communicate project progress, proposals, and technical issues with stakeholders and internal departments.

What you will bring…

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, industrial engineering or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience developing scalable Data and Business Intelligence solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform to help improve business processes and analytics
  • Ability to synthesize results and deliver presentations
  • Solid understanding of basic statistical concepts, trends and analysis
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, DAX, and data modeling.
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboard design.
