Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

We are looking for a PMO Manager to support the Procurement & Finance teams in monitoring, coordinating, and ensuring the smooth execution of procurement activities aligned with the MICO 2026 Games Master Schedule. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and coordination skills, excellent analytical abilities, and experience working in complex, cross-functional environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track procurement-related activities and milestones, ensuring alignment with the MICO 2026 Games Master Schedule and other planning documents.
  • Manage project monitoring tools (e.g., Smartsheet) as required by the IOC and MICO 2026.
  • Prepare dashboards and reports to highlight progress, flag potential delays, and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Develop high-quality presentations and slide decks to support Procurement & Finance teams.
  • Assist in the development of ancillary documents and worksheets to facilitate timely project execution.
  • Arrange and coordinate meetings, communicating effectively with key stakeholders including IOC/IPC, CIP, event delivery entities, and internal departments.
  • Collect, review, and consolidate comments and draft documents related to policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices in company procedures implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with other PMOs within the Planning & Coordination Area to ensure seamless information flow and project alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in project management, procurement, or finance.
  • Expertise in documentation and specifications, with the ability to create clear and concise procurement/finance reports.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to use tools like workflow diagrams and use cases to assess and deconstruct problems.
  • Proven project management and coordination experience, preferably in complex development projects or consultant agencies.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to develop creative solutions in complex situations.
  • Ability to balance high-level strategic thinking with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to provide well-structured arguments in both formal and informal settings.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Smartsheet, and other project management tools.
