The Specialist, PMA Logistics will play a vital role in supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of logistics operations for Participating Member Associations (PMA) during the FIFA World Cup 26™. Working closely with the Regional Managers PMA Logistics, FIFA Zurich counterparts, and key functional areas, the Specialist will assist in the implementation of logistics plans and ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective movement of PMA equipment and personnel across assigned venues.
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Specialist, PMA Logistics for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
- Assist the PMA Logistics team in planning, implementing, and monitoring PMA logistics operations across stadiums, airports, training sites, and hotels.
- Track daily PMA logistics activities and movements, ensuring timely updates and resolution of operational issues.
- Coordinate with Team Services, Security, Event Transport, and Venue Logistics to ensure seamless team movements and equipment transfers.
- Support the execution of Roaming Team operations and ensure logistics service levels are maintained across all assigned locations.
- Maintain and monitor the FIFA Rate Card Portal for additional PMA logistics services, ensuring requests, approvals, and cost recovery are properly documented.
- Track all Rate Card orders and provide regular financial and operational summaries to the Regional Manager and Senior Logistics Manager.
- Assist in compiling cost control data and identifying potential savings or efficiency opportunities.
- Compile and maintain daily, weekly, and event-based logistics status reports, including equipment movements, staffing updates, and operational risks.
- Support data entry and maintenance of logistics databases and dashboards to ensure accurate situational reporting.
- Assist in preparing presentations, summaries, and operational briefs for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and coordination of PMA Logistics temporary staff and drivers.
- Maintain updated staff rosters, contact lists, and training compliance records.
- Assist in organizing logistics briefings, orientations, and safety sessions for PMA Logistics personnel.
- Act as a logistics liaison for PMA-related queries, ensuring consistent communication flow between FIFA functions and external partners.
- Maintain professional relationships with suppliers, Local Service Providers (LSPs), and host city counterparts to ensure operational readiness.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or similar level of education in Logistics, Supply Chain etc.
Work Experience
- 2-4 years of experience within Major Event Logistics, planning and delivery phases etc.
- Team player with a strong customer-service focus, comfortable across all levels of communication and a desire to go the extra mile.
- Ability to present and clearly communicate to audiences in a multitude of public/private settings as required.
- Proven experience in data tracking, reporting, or project coordination roles.
- Flexibility to travel and work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, during tournament periods.
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to make decisions both independently and within a team environment
Languages
- Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
Technology
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
