JOB TITLE: Payroll Administrator
DEPARTMENT: Finance
LOCATION: Stamford Bridge
CONTRACT: Permanent, Full Time
JOB FUNCTION:
To ensure the provision of an efficient & effective payroll function, ensuring a consistent and timely high quality payroll service in line with business expectations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processing of end-to-end payroll for 1800+ for all monthly UK permanent & casual payrolls ensuring a high standard of accuracy is maintained and all statutory legislation is adhered to.
- Processing of Maternity, Sickness, Shared Parental Leave, Paternity Leave & other absences in line with Company Policy and statutory regulations.
- Produce and reconcile all reports as required to enable the authorisation of Bacs files.
- Preparation of payslips & P45’s.
- To ensure compliance with all statutory requirements of PAYE and auto enrolment and to ensure accurate and timely reporting as required by HM Revenue and Customs, Real Time information and pension scheme returns.
- Administration of benefit requests such as private medical & cycle to work.
- Assist in the production of P60’s and P11D’s and relevant returns.
- Ensure documentation to outside agencies such as Courts and HMRC are completed accurately and within the agreed turn around.
- Provide reports as required by the business on an accurate and timely basis.
- Timely & efficient resolution of payroll queries.
- Assist with software upgrades including legislation changes with minimum disruption to the business.
- Develop and maintain relationship with key stakeholders.
- Support the Payroll Team or wider business on ad hoc project work.
- Any other duties as required by the business.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications:
- CIPP qualification advantageous but not essential.
Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role preferably in a medium/large organisation.
- Experience of working in a role with multiple employing entities would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of statutory legislation and compliance.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Good customer service skills.
- Proficient with payroll software, experience in using Resourcelink beneficial.
- Proficient in using all aspects of Microsoft 365, especially Excel.
