Reporting organizationally to the Venue Transport Parking and Permitting Manager, the Venue Transport Parking Sr. Coordinator will be a key member of the FIFA26 Event Transport team, collaborating closely with the Traffic Management and Venue Transport Teams.
The Sr. Coordinator will support the implementation of parking and permitting strategies across all official competition sites, including stadiums. A core focus of this role will involve assisting with the implementation and lifecycle management of the Vehicle Access and Parking Permit Scheme (VAPPS), a centralized system designed to control access and parking.
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Venue Transport Parking Sr. Coordinator for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
- Assist the Parking and Permitting Manager ensuring that the tournament wide VAPP requirements (digital and printed) are implemented on the ground operationally.
- Assist in managing a robust VAPP database system to ensure accurate data capture and use throughout the lifecycle of FIFA26.
- Manage stadium parking numbers to align parking capacity with the correct number of VAPPs allocated and distributed to constituent groups.
- Mange Match Day operations and distribution of VAPP PDAs (scanners) ensuring they are collected and charged for the next match day.
- Manage on site VAPP PDA setup, configuration and troubleshooting
- Manage VAPP boards related to car park operations.
- Ensure compliance with VAPP Policies and Procedures
- Support the management of a centralized application and distribution process for Printed VAPPs.
- Help manage VAPP help desk to address staff and stakeholder queries and requests during the tournament.
- Implement an issue resolution process to address VAPP-related challenges efficiently.
- Compile daily VAPP scanning reports

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Transport, Civil Engineering, Project management, Event Management, Major Sport events or a combination of education and experience relating to position.
Work Experience
- 1-2 years’ work experience: ideally within the football, sport, or event industry.
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from support staff, managers, and clients.
- Experience working in multi-functional event organizations and in dynamic and fast paced environments.
- Must be motivated, capable of working independently, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to learn transit operations involved in moving Client Groups.
Languages
- Fluent in English.
- Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
Technology
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
- Stadium technology parking schemes
- Experience in data management systems (e.g. PARCS, Digital Parking Platforms or Parking Access Control Systems and Applications)
