The legal team is an internal service unit that supports Sportradar's fast growth by ensuring a solid and secure foundation. It includes several divisions to ensure integrity and trust are met and exceeded, including Corporate & Employment Law, Privacy, Litigation, Compliance & Risk, Commercial Sales Legal and Sports Partnership Legal.

For the latter legal sub-unit, the Sports Partnership Legal team, we are looking for a talented, highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to serve Sportradar’s Rights & Sports Partnership division by providing legal support and reviewing/administering of standard legal documents (such as NDA’s, MoU’s, Termination Agreements, Amendments, Term Sheets, etc.) on a global basis for the entire Sportradar Group. The Paralegal will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of our licensing activities and their corresponding implementation in client agreements.

The Paralegal Sports Partnership will be working as part of an experienced and international legal team. This role will act as an interface between Sportradar’s regional and product teams, the commercial Rights & Partnership unit and the legal department, to ensure consistent legal project support and maintenance of our identified contractual standards, e.g. for the scope of commercial rights.

THE CHALLENGE:

  • Contract Management & Support:
    • Assisting in the drafting, review and negotiation of various commercial agreements, as well as legal documents (such as NDAs, MoUs, Term Sheets, Termination Agreements, Amendments, etc.)
    • Managing the lifecycle of contracts from inception to execution and renewal, ensuring all documentation is accurately maintained and easily accessible.
    • Conducting initial reviews of contractual terms and identifying key clauses, obligations, and potential risks.
  • Legal support and involvement in sports’ rights holders’ tender processes
  • Conduct and elaborate comprehensive legal research, particularly relating to IP and media law and the regulatory framework related to the same
  • Litigation & Dispute Resolution Support:
    • Organizing and managing documents for potential disputes or litigation.
    • Assisting in the preparation of legal correspondence and responses to inquiries.
  • Administrative and other project tasks within the area of portfolio/contract management tasks, e.g.
    • Maintaining and organizing legal files, databases, and document management systems;
    • Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and drafting minutes for legal team discussions and negotiations;
    • Handling general administrative tasks for the legal department as required.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Bachelor degree in law, Paralegal studies or similar qualification
  • Proven experiences (minimum 3 PE) in dealing with commercial contracts preferably within a corporate legal department
  • Solid understanding of contract law and commercial legal principles. Familiarity with media law and sports betting regulations is a significant plus.
  • Experience with contract management software and legal research databases is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in German is beneficial, but not required
  • High attention to detail in drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents.
  • Flexible to adapt to changing priorities, organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and able to work to tight deadlines
  • A good understanding of the sports and, ideally, the sports betting, ecosystem including the political, legislative and economic landscape.
  • An understanding in relation to data and audio-visual content and how such content is commercialized would be desirable
  • Diligent and responsible working attitude
  • Strong relationship management and collaboration skills
  • Positive attitude; diplomacy and approachability
