Full Description
The FA Para Division are looking for a Technical Performance Manager to contribute to the strategic delivery and implementation of technical performance objectives and the Para WITTW Plan, focusing specifically on ‘emerging' Elite Para Squads and Para Development Squads.
Interviews are scheduled to take place in person on the 7th and 8th August at The National Football Centre, St. George's Park.
What will you be doing?
- Work with the Senior Lead - Para Technical Performance to design and agree a programme of technical and tactical delivery as aligned to the Para ‘Key Objectives' and ‘WITTW Plan'.
- Manage Head Coaches and wider technical staff to ‘prepare to win' across assigned ‘emerging' Squads.
- Oversee and implement a framework for improvement/technical and tactical support across Development groups of players. Align this to elite squad framework.
- Support the Senior Lead for Coach Development to design and implement support activities for coaches working across Development groups of players.
- Work with the Senior Lead - Para Technical Performance to develop competition opportunities for Development groups of players.
- Oversee Operations function and line management responsibility for the Para Operations Officers.
- Work with the Player Support Manager to design and implement a comprehensive player transition policy and ensure process is embedded across the Para Programme.
- Attend camps and tournaments as advised by the Senior Lead - Para Technical Performance to monitor relevance and appropriateness of coaching and playing activity as aligned to performance objectives.
- Collaborate with external agencies to support players to complete the Sporting Excellence Professional Apprenticeship. Engage with the referred mentor network and utilise this opportunity to extend performance and developmental support to players.
- Support the Senior Lead – Para Technical Performance to ensure all operational functions of the Para Performance Programme are aligned to technical based objectives for camps, preparatory activity and competitions.
- Undertake day to day management of the operational team focusing on ability to perform within the framework led by the Senior Lead – Para Technical Performance.
- Manage and co-ordinate a programme of ‘off camp technical support' to players identified via the IDP process with specific focus applied to men's and women's blind players and CP goalkeepers. Ensure opportunities to combine with wider performance support activities are maximised.
- Work with key partner organisations and head coaches to co-ordinate the provision of training partners as a fundamental part of achieving performance related technical outcomes within the camp model.
- Executes additional tasks as required to meet the FA's changing priorities.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing can be maintained.

What are we looking for?
Essential for the role:
Knowledge
- Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline (sport/performance/coaching)
- UEFA B minimum
Experience
- Significant experience in working across multiple Para Football development or performance settings
- Experience of coaching Para Football elite teams
- Line Management experience
Technical Skills
- High level communication skills
- Advanced Reporting Writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to create presentations and present to a wide range of key stakeholders
Beneficial to have:
Knowledge
- Postgraduate qualification in related discipline
- UEFA A
Experience
- Experience of leading elite Para Football Programmes domestically or internationally
Technical Skills
- Advanced Project Management skills
