Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

The talent will be involved in the following activities:

Operational Readiness Pre-Games Time:

  • Support the design, development and execution of comprehensive operational readiness plans.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure that plans cover all critical aspects.
  • Organise and manage the logistics for tabletop exercises and simulations, including participant management and resource allocation.
  • Prepare templates, documentation and post-exercise debrief reports for stakeholders.
  • Schedule meetings and manage lists of participants, invitations and agendas.
  • Overseeing logistics for readiness activities such as hall reservations, translation services and AV equipment.
  • Create presentations to communicate the results of readiness and update activities.

Reporting from the Main Operations Centre during the Games:

  • Support daily reporting processes during the operations of the Main Operations Centre, consolidating data into actionable reports.
  • Analyse operational data and provide insights to support decision making at critical moments.
  • Create real-time dashboards and views using tools like Power BI, Smartsheet and Excel.
  • Support contingency planning, risk responses and development of operational policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Operations, Project Management or related fields.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Smartsheet, SharePoint and Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with mastery of Italian and English.
  • Collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Ability to multitask and effective time management.

Desirable:

  • Minimum experience (including internships) in event planning, operational readiness or related fields.
  • Basic knowledge of operational planning, training methodologies and test/practice techniques.
  • Interest in learning operational readiness and business continuity practices.
