THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Operational Excellence Manager to lead strategic cross-functional planning, execution, and reporting of critical readiness initiatives as we expand and mature our Predicts operating model. You will project manage operational elements of new features and business launches, ensuring all operational impacts are identified, optimized, and resolved. This role drives continuous improvement by identifying, fixing, and optimizing processes to maximize scalability and efficiency across internal teams and external partners. You will own the company's strategic planning process and performance measurement against key operational goals, while partnering with commercial and product teams to improve internal stakeholder, external stakeholder, and customer experiences. As a member of the Operational Excellence Team, this role provides the opportunity to work across all aspects of the business.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Own and drive the creation and refinement of our operating model as we further expand our Predicts business.
  • Project manage operational elements of new features and business launches, utilizing playbooks to seamlessly ensure all operational impacts are identified, optimized, and resolved
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying, fixing, and optimizing processes to maximize scalability and efficiency across internal teams and external partners
  • Create, maintain and enhance critical business documents including decision logs, risk logs, and launch playbooks.
  • Design, deliver and maintain contingency processes including documentation and resources for operational teams, including maintaining escalation contact lists for seamless issue management.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for the Predicts Commercial team, maintaining open lines of communication across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with commercial and product teams to improve internal stakeholder, external stakeholder, and customer experiences by identifying opportunities to drive standardization, automation and profitability.
  • Identify areas of risk and work with relevant teams and stakeholders to detail and deliver mitigation plans.
  • Support strategic planning process and ongoing measurement of performance against strategic OKRs.
  • Prepare materials for business reviews and operational planning meetings.
  • Contribute to ensuring key meetings have high impact on organization alignment and overall results.
  • Opportunity to manage or mentor more junior members on the Operational Excellence Team.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • A minimum of 5 year experience in commercial/analytics/customer intelligence/operations preferred
  • Well-organized and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once & prioritize based on company drivers
  • Experience in managing complex and sensitive operational challenges
  • Competency in data related to business improvement metrics and operational performance
  • Strategic mindset that takes a long-term view and anticipates future trends and implications
  • Collaborative worker with strong interpersonal skills
  • Solution-oriented and able to define problem statements and drive outcomes with a focus on customer experience as well as business objectives
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills used in working across all levels of the organization
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Asana preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience in online business - fantasy sports or sports betting preferred
  • Passionate about sports and/or gambling preferred

The applicable salary range for this position is $111,000 - $139,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
