Full Description
Fanatics Brands is looking for a Blank Inventory Readiness Manager to support Domestic and Nearshore manufacturing needs of Fanatics Brands. This position will play a critical role in ensuring we have the Right Inventory to the Right Place at the Right Time by driving blank inventory positioning strategy, monitoring on-hand inventory levels, aligning inventory positioning with network capacity, and driving pro-active and reactive processes to ensure we deliver to our customers. This position also provides support on special projects as needed for the US Operations team based in Tampa.
The successful candidate for the Blank Inventory Readiness Manager role will conduct thorough analysis and recommendations related to staging inventory for production to support Fanatics Brands internal and external networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze inventory positioning across internal and external networks (including distributor/VMI inventory not yet owned by Fanatics) to ensure it is aligned with current or upcoming Demand.
- Monitor on-hand inventory levels across internal and external production partners to ensure positioning aligns with overall strategy and go-forward need. Drive needed action to remediate inventory issues including initiating transfer requests and/or requests for additional inventory purchases.
- Create and improve current state processes, systems, tool sets, and business rules to support Fanatics continuous goal of improving customer SLA while operating profitably.
- Work closely with Inventory Supply Planning and Demand Forecasting teams to drive proactive decision making and strategy alignment to support long-range, mid-range, and short-range customer demand.
- Partner with Order Fulfillment cross-functional partners (Capacity Team, Order Allocations Team, and Manufacturing Team) to optimize Fanatics Brands domestic and Near Shore order fulfillment capabilities.
- Drive partnership and execution activities related to external inventory distributors and VMI partners to ensure domestically available blanks can be accessed efficiently and are incorporated into production inventory readiness strategy.
- Develop a breath of knowledge of Fanatics business (outside of core responsibilities) to ensure inventory decision making and strategy is aligned with overall company goals.
- Contributing member of the forecasting and planning process as it relates to inventory needed for domestic and nearshore replenishment production of our internal and external partners.
- Conversant in current analytical tools (MS Excel, MicroStrategy, MS Office) is required
- Continuous improvement mindset with the goal of driving more automation of executional/transactional activities to ensure time is spent on analytical and strategic activities.
- Establish Data-driven processes and decision-making patterns. Create a “playbook” for decision making and exception management. Contribute to a new virtual blanks housing system.
- Demonstrated ability in using problem solving techniques and providing accurate recap of findings and solutions with timelines to upper management
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and manage a team of 2-3
- Exhibit a sense of urgency, working in a fast-paced environment with constructive judgment during demanding situations
- Limited Travel (5%-10%)
Educational/Position Requirements:
- 5+ years of Related Professional Experience
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial/Systems Engineering, Logistics or a Related Field
- Relevant inventory analysis experience
- Proficient PC skills with Microsoft Word and Excel to include macros and advanced database understanding
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency
- Strong understanding of supply chain, operational, inventory planning, and/or demand forecasting
- Strong math aptitude and attention to detail
- Self-discipline to meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills (written, presentation, oral)
- Effective organizational skills and detail oriented
- Willingness to work extra hours during peak times
