Role Overview
The Matchday Revenue & Growth Strategy Executive sits within the Women's Commercial Department, reporting to the Matchday Revenue and Growth Strategy Lead. The primary purpose of the role is to drive Chelsea Women's matchday performance forward — maximising commercial opportunity while delivering a high-quality supporter experience on both matchdays and non-matchdays.
The successful candidate will support the execution of ticketing strategies, supporter communications, and matchday commercial initiatives, working closely with teams across Marketing, Ticketing, Hospitality, and Venue Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Ticketing & Revenue Delivery
- Support ticketing operations for Chelsea FC Women fixtures across Kingsmeadow, Stamford Bridge, and third-party venues.
- Implement ticket sales strategies in collaboration with the Growth Marketing and Commercial teams to maximise attendance and revenue.
- Coordinate community ticketing initiatives, working with internal teams and external partners to broaden access and grow the fanbase.
- Monitor ticket sales performance and identify opportunities to optimise campaigns and supporter journeys.
Supporter Communications
- Working with our marketing team, create and deliver pre-match communications, ensuring all ticketing, stadium access, and matchday information is clear, timely, and engaging.
- Coordinate away ticketing communications and information for Chelsea FC Women supporters.
- Ensure a consistent, high-quality communication journey from ticket purchase through to matchday attendance.
Digital Content & Platform Management
- Own and maintain ticketing and matchday-related website content for Chelsea FC Women, keeping all information accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with current campaigns.
- Work with digital and marketing teams to ensure matchday content supports ticketing sales and supporter engagement objectives.
Matchday Fan Experience & Commercial Optimisation
- Support the delivery and promotion of matchday food and beverage offers in collaboration with venue and operations teams.
- Contribute to fan experience trials and initiatives designed to maximise supporter satisfaction and spend per head.
- Identify opportunities to improve commercial performance through better supporter engagement and product visibility.
Data & Process Improvement
- Analyse ticket sales data and attendance trends to support revenue growth strategies.
- Produce reporting and insights to inform future ticketing campaigns and operational decisions.
- Implement process improvements across ticketing operations, communications, and supporter journeys.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in ticketing, strategy, or a commercial role preferably within sport, entertainment, or live events.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with experience interpreting data and identifying areas for improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for supporter-facing content.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Passion for women's sport and a genuine interest in the growth of Chelsea FC Women.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to support matchdays and events.
