The Game Plan

The Maintenance Technician will utilize and grow their maintenance knowledge and skills as they support the operation of our Fulfillment and Manufacturing Centers. They will be required to perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance of our facility assets, material handling systems, and manufacturing equipment. This role will be responsible for the safety, quality, and timely execution of these support services which include: conveyors, material handling equipment, robotics, forklifts, manufacturing systems, electrical, plumbing, and other general maintenance activities.

The Practice and Game Schedule

This is a full-time permanent position. Days and hours of work can fluctuate based on business needs. Additional hours are required pending business demands.

What You Do Every Day

  • Adheres to all Department and Company Standards and Operating Procedures.
  • Completes work orders, preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and other written or computer-based documents.
  • Ability to learn and utilize software to include CMMS Systems, graphical interfaces, and other applicable programs.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, Electrical/Mechanical Schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meter, laptop)
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and motor control problems on equipment with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), soft starts, servo drives, and external input/output (I/O) devices.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on conveyor equipment, manufacturing equipment, material handling equipment, facility assets, and PIT (Powered Industrial Truck).

  • Ability to work at heights from ladders and aerial lifts.
  • Ability to work on the exterior of the Fulfillment/Manufacturing Center and within a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Ability to complete additional tasks and requests as needed from the site's Leadership Team.
  • The duties listed above represent the physical and environmental demands required by an individual to successfully perform the work required of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform their essential duties. This position does require standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods of time, continuous use of hands, twisting, bending, and stooping to perform tasks. Duties also include being able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to effectively communicate issues to not only other team members but also the operational team.

What You Need to Make the Cut

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience and/or education in the industrial maintenance field.
  • Preferred experience in a Fulfillment, Distribution, or Manufacturing facility supporting maintenance activities on conveyor systems, manufacturing equipment, and other material handling equipment.
  • Maintenance Experience
    • Equipment Maintenance and Repairs
    • Mechanical Troubleshooting
    • Electrical Troubleshooting
  • Experienced with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Experienced in interpreting both mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
