Manager Tax

JOB PURPOSE

adidas has an opportunity in the Tax area for the position of Tax Manager, based in Alphaville, São Paulo. Responsible for the overall tax compliance of adidas Group and tax optimization within the framework of the applicable tax legislation. The role involves assisting with tax audits, preparing periodic tax work papers, schedules, and reports, reviewing Tax Returns prepared by tax specialists, as well as statutory tax reports and transfer pricing studies prepared by auditors. You will also conduct tax research to support tax compliance and planning as required. This role will help establish a stable and efficient tax infrastructure to meet the business needs of the subsidiary in accordance with global tax strategies.

SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES AND DAILY ROUTINES

• Monitor and manage the implications of the Brazilian Tax Reform (2025-2026): Stay updated on the legislative changes and ensure the company is in compliance with the new tax regulations. Work with internal teams and external partners to plan and implement necessary changes.
• Manage day-to-day operation of all tax functions, including advisory and tax planning
• Plan and manage tax procedures, ensuring month and year-end tax compliance
• Ensure timely preparation of all tax reports in line with local tax legislation
• Assist external auditors with required documentation
• Review statutory tax reports and transfer pricing studies
• Optimize all tax payments in compliance with local tax regulations
• Supervise tax compliance to identify possible distortions or improvements
• Devise internal control procedures to ensure the integrity of tax information
• Oversee and maintain the ERP system and its interfaces with other applications
• Ensure the company's income tax statements are prepared and delivered accurately and timely

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Strong background in tax compliance and tax planning
• Full qualification/training in tax-related areas
• Strong knowledge of applicable local and international tax legislation
• Experience with ERP systems and tax reporting tools
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Advanced English is a mandatory requirement
