Full Description
The Manager, Talent Programs & Operations will report in the Director, Human Resources and be responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations across Red Bull Canada (RBCA) and Red Bull Canada Distribution (RBCD). This role will work closely with the Director, Human Resources and COE’s in North America to deliver on Talent programs and help to actively identify opportunities through the employee lifecycle to optimize existing or new processes and procedures.

COMPLIANCE
In partnership with Legal, review, assess and recommend courses of action to ensure the company is in compliance with all federal, provincial, local, and other regulatory requirements, annual compliance reports, postings and applicable employee health & safety related topic / initiatives.
Actively review, document, and develop internal facing policies and processes for RBCA / RBCD. Deliver guidance for key stakeholders, including the LT, managers, Talent Business Partners, etc. to ensure consistent application of internal policies and processes.
Responsible for understanding and implementing a comprehensive program and roadmap to ensure Red Bull Canada is compliant, and remains compliant with the OQLF (Office québécois de la langue française) requirements with respect to internal communications.
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term strategies to engage and build internal communications in Quebec
- Identify areas of risk of non-compliance and frequently report back to the Canadian Leadership Team
Facilitate conversations with external counsel on all immigration matters and programs. Support with information gathering / processing of non-immigrant and immigrant work permit filings and applications.
Maintain both domestic and inbound international relocation program for Canada. Work with external relocation partner to ensure seamless employee experience in relocation services. Support with the review of relocation market trends and make recommendations to improve program and service offerings to employees.
Maintain working knowledge of current and developing employment regulations.
BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION & PAYROLL
Responsible for overseeing benefit administration and the accurate and timely processing of Payroll for RBCA / RBCD.
Maintain benefit program strategy and recommend improvements based on internal feedback and vendor performance.
Manage internal programs in Canada (e.g., FFF, ERG), including the development of new initiatives within this space.
Interpret, advise, and provide training and support on benefits/changes. Develop employee facing communications and resources to educate employees on offerings.
In partnership with Director, Benefits US, facilitate ongoing reviews of plan design(s) / vendor performance to determine cost-effectiveness and market competitiveness of existing programs. Evaluate alternatives and assess desirability of new programs/modifications to existing programs.
TALENT PROGRAMS
Manage content and logistics for training events centered around Onboarding (e.g., New Hire Orientation, Flight Academy). Maintain strong relationships across departments, and with stakeholders, to ensure that processes are aligned across the organization and that project expectations are met.
Manage our internal online compliance training programs through our intranet and learning programs.
Recommend program changes and updates to processes as needed to drive program impact and optimize employee (and, as applicable – candidate and hiring manager) experience.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT & OTHER
Proactively identify and address areas of opportunity within Red Bull’s talent systems or processes for RBCA / RBCD to improve employee experience and drive efficiency.
Support with testing system enhancements and implementation efforts.
Maintain detailed project documentation from initiation to close and manage multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment on project priorities and deliverables. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to key stakeholders.
Responsible for budget management. Partner with Finance during planning cycles (FRE, SRE, BP) to accurately plan budget(s) needed to achieve project or program goals.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Oversee Payroll Specialist responsibilities – deliver reinforcing and constructive feedback and coaching.
EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:
- 5+ years Human Resources experience.
- Strong knowledge of federal and provincial laws (ON, AB, BC, QC) governing employment and compliance.
- Experience with Dayforce (Ceridian) or other Payroll systems.
- Experience using SCORM files to upload learning and compliance trainings.
- Working knowledge of Canadian immigration practices and processes.
- Ability to work independently according to business needs, fulfill objectives timely with little supervision, as well as excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Exceptional project management skills, with a need to identify both current and future trends.
- Proven ability to proactively identify opportunities, build and present business case for solutions driven by data.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in matrixed environment.
- Highly comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to change in direction, and working autonomously.
- Experience in rotational talent programs, benefits, payroll and/or recruiting.
- Post-Secondary Bachelor of Human Resources or a similar field.
- Fluent in English.
- Conversational in French – a plus.
- Travel 10-20%
