WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will be a part of the Global Technology organization working on Nike’s internal Consumer Product & Innovationsoftwaretoolsfor enabling creation of Nike’s Footwear and Appareland report to the team’s Engineering Directorbased in Bengaluru. You will work day-to-daymanaginga team of engineers,collaborating withthe team’s Product Manager and Principal Engineersworkingon software projects to achieve Nike’s business objectives. You will also engage with other Global Technology functions and teams on organizational and technical goals.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’relooking for a software engineering leader with strong technical depth, a passion for developing teams, anda track recordof delivering modern digital platforms at scale. You bring people leadership, engineering rigor, and experience guiding teams through complexity with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and modern front-end technologies.Proven success leading and developing high-performing engineering teams in collaborative environments
10+ years of experience in technology and software engineering, grounded in strong computer science fundamentals
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent professional experience
Significant software engineering experience across the full software lifecycle, including practices, tools, and deliverables
Hands-onexpertisewith cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, APIs, domain-driven design, and microservices
Experience with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and S3
Experience building modern web applications with React, Angular, or Vue.js
Strong understanding of architectural and integration patterns, data movement and enrichment, and enterprise security and privacy
Knowledge of open-source technologies and make-versus-buy decisions across workflow, orchestration, content management, and data platforms
Proven ability to collaborate with engineers, architects, product leaders, and business stakeholders across global time-zones
Strong communicationand facilitation skills, with extensive experience partnering with business teams
Experience working in Agile environments with a focus on continuous improvement
Experience implementing and integrating AI, machine learning, and related data solutions preferred
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
In addition to leading an engineering team in the Bengaluru Capability Center, you will Lead capacity planning and sprint execution with Product Managers, Project Managers, and Lead Engineers. Assign and manage development work across the team, including hands-on software development.Partner with Principal Engineers on technical architecture and engineering best practices.Support business stakeholder engagement with your Engineering Director.Ensure high-quality delivery through code reviews and functional, performance, and security testing.Build an engaged, high-performing team by creating opportunities to learn, grow, and deliver business impact.Partner withteam matesacross global time-zones.
