ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of talented engineers. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall technical direction and execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery, high quality, and customer satisfaction. You will play a critical role in fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment, while driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the engineering process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team:
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and career development opportunities to engineers.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages open communication, knowledge sharing, and innovation.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for growth.
Drive project execution and delivery:
- Define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Track project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Technical Leadership:
- Define and maintain high engineering standards, including coding best practices, design principles, and testing methodologies.
- Participate in technical design reviews and code reviews to ensure the quality and maintainability of the codebase.
- Drive technical innovation and explore new technologies to improve product performance, scalability, availability, and user experience.
- Choose the right technology stack for the data platform, considering factors such as performance, scalability, cost, maintainability, and integration with existing systems.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously improve engineering processes, such as agile development, CI/CD, and testing methodologies.
- Identify and implement tools and technologies to improve team productivity and efficiency.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the engineering team.
Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and senior leadership, to ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams across the organization.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role (e.g., Team Lead, Engineering Manager).
- Strong technical expertise in languages such as Golang, Java, Python, JavaScript, Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), Databases (SQL, NoSQL).
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for building high-quality software and delivering exceptional user experiences.

- Experience with data platforms, data pipelines, and big data technologies.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience with building and scaling high-traffic, high-availability systems.
