The Product Communications team members are the champions of our products and strive to make everyone else champions of the product too. This means leading the product communications strategy across the organization and ensuring its execution internally and externally – from our best-in-class athletes to creators, gyms/fitness studios, retailers, universities and ultimately, to consumers across the U.S.

The Product Communication Manager is the key executor of this strategy to drive product relevance and trust among internal and external stakeholders though strategic product communications, national and regional activations and educational tools. This role works across the business with both marketing and sales teams, along with Legal/Regulatory teams, as a credible expert on all product and competitive landscape inquiries, driving key initiatives forward and removing any product-related barriers.

This role will be responsible for competently developing and delivering product messaging, leading product trainings and providing guidance on product benefit communications, building advocacy through network management, virtual and in-person programming and supporting sales to unlock distribution in key accounts, particularly in fitness.

This role is part of the Red Bull North America (RBNA) Brand Marketing team and global Product Expert Program, and thus will pay into building, executing and reporting on strategic plans to meet annual business objectives

BUILD AVOCACY THROUGH PRODUCT BENEFIT COMMUNICATION, EDUCATION AND ACTIVATION

Lead Product Comms executions on a national and regional scale to ensure product benefits messaging is accurately and strategically implemented while achieving Marketing objectives and aligning with Product Comms tenants and Brand standards. Work cross-functionally to tailor strategies and executions to appropriate audiences

Own the management, growth and engagement of our 3rd party product advocate network of thought leaders who can speak credibly to consumers and key stakeholders about the product benefits in their respective lines of expertise (e.g., sports dietitian speaking to Red Bull usage within sport-specific training)

Manager serves as primary POC and fully owns organization, activation, KPI reporting and aligning with the Sr. Manager on strategic direction for the program to achieve Product Comms yearly objectives

Lead yearly Caffeine Awareness Month plans to promote smart caffeine use and drive trial and product advocacy, leveraging our network. Includes end-to-end planning, activation and reporting locally and globally

Project manage and execute on the ground when needed with cross-functional and regional teams across the U.S., programming and delivering educational messaging at events, meetings and other activations

Stay abreast and flag findings relevant to the health/nutrition/sports and product landscape, including what other brands are doing in this space

COLLABORATE CROSS-FUNCTIONALLY WITH MARKETING AND SALES TEAMS

Create and continually update scientifically accurate product communications assets to support on- and off-premise sales and distribution needs

Support On- and Off-premise teams with new RFPs and customer meetings/inquiries that require deeper dive product education and connecting the dots on why it is a fit for their customers’ lifestyles. This may mean managing directly or liaising with the Global Quality Assurance team

Support Sr. Manager in fielding ad hoc inquiries and requests, including hosting product trainings for internal sales and distribution teams

Work with Legal/Regulatory, Brand and On-/Off-Premise teams to ensure responsible marketing guidelines are met for 3rd party promotions

MANAGE INTERNAL PRODUCT TRAINING AND COMMUNICATIONS

Lead the development, upkeep and delivery of all internal training materials including video, audio, written and creative assets (e.g., handbooks, sell decks, video e-courses). Manage real time updates to the Product Comms internal hub page and resources to ensure all information is accurate, practical and up to date

Conduct product trainings with all departments and new employees to nurture internal can advocates

Manage the development and cross-functional execution of training our Student Marketeers multiple times a year to ensure they can speak confidently to the product benefits across all regional markets and consumer bases

Collaborate with Athlete, Sports, Culture, Gaming, Creator and Brand Comms teams to onboard new Red Bull Athletes, Esports Players, Dancers, Creators, etc. and ensure they understand and can confidently convey product benefits in their content/activations (in their own voices)

Support Brand and Media Network Teams in product communications including earned, managed and owned content, FAQ’s and product information for other platforms (e.g., eCommerce)

Work with Legal/Regulatory, Brand and On-/Off-Premise teams to ensure responsible marketing guidelines are met for all marketing efforts (content, events etc.)

PROJECT MANAGEMENT, PLANNING AND REPORTING

Develop and implement business plans in partnership with Sr. Manager annually and around big moments, sales priorities and product launches to drive relevance and advocacy through compelling product communications messaging and tactical execution

Own the Product Communications project tracker including project, travel/expense and budget updates, ensuring real-time and weekly updates are made efficiently and accurately. Lead the team through beginning of week priorities calls utilizing the tracker

Provide agendas, recaps and next steps from all relevant meetings

Manage global Product Expert Program updates and Beverage Initiatives team highlights to showcase strategic and impactful work, exchange learnings and best practices with local and global network

Collaborate regularly with the global and U.S. Legal/Regulatory teams around topics that may require their expertise

EXPERIENCE Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • Required: Health / Nutrition / Sports / Science Degree
  • 3+ years working experience, at least 2 years in communications/marketing
  • Ability to align comms strategies with business goals and plans/roadmaps
  • Proficiency in clear, strategic, compelling and scientifically accurate communication, ideally to internal, consumer and B2B audiences
  • Excellent presentation/negotiation/public speaking skills and written communications skills, including PowerPoint
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects, timelines and deliverables
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally, across local regions and global teams
  • High standard of integrity with a passion for the brand and commitment to Red Bull values
