Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) was created by the International Olympic Committee in 2001 in order to serve as the Host Broadcast organisation for all Olympic Games, Olympic Winter Games and Youth Olympic Games.

About The Role:

The Manager of Additional Content will manage the creation and delivery of pre-Games non‑live products for all the upcoming Olympic Games. This includes the Broadcast Animation Package (titles, bumpers, wipes, backgrounds, music beds), Sport Guides, Venue Guides, Venue Locators, Athlete Profiles, features, trailers and pre‑Games editorial packages. The role blends editorial leadership, creative direction and rigorous vendor/partner management to ensure every asset meets OBS’s editorial standards, brand voice and technical deliverables.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Vendor & partner leadership  

  • Act as primary point of contact for the external production company creating the Broadcast Animation Package, Trailers and Sport Guides for the Olympic Games; oversee scope, timeline, budget and quality against contract and OBS requirements.  

  • Negotiate and manage external partners.  

Editorial & production oversight  

  • Oversee production of pre‑Games athlete profiles: secure access, plan shoots, supervise edits and approvals.  

  • Supervise music montage edits for World Broadcaster Briefings and meetings; ensure rights/clearances and version control.  

Planning, workflow & quality  

  • A high level of attention to detail is essential for this position.  As the Olympic host broadcaster we must ensure the IOC guidelines are always followed, with visuals and editorial content 100% accurate.  

  • Manage and maintain schedules for all Pre Games content deliveries.   

Stakeholder communication & reporting  

  • Ensure strong planning, workflow and quality control are incorporated into production of content, thus ensuring all delivery deadlines are met.    

  • Present creative proposals, edits and final deliverables to senior stakeholders; capture actions and decisions with audit trails.  

Games Time Responsibilities:   

  • Able to professionally carryout tasks and responsibilities needed during the Games Time basis to successfully deliver the objectives of the teams' deliverables. 

Skills, Requirements & Qualifications:

Experience & Technical Skills: 

  • A minimum of a relevant tertiary qualification. 

  • 8- 10 years’ broadcast experience with a strong track record producing short form editorial content, sports features and premium editorial packages. 

  • Demonstrated success managing multi-sport and multiple venues and stakeholders as an Associate Producer/ Producer. 

  • Excellent written and spoken English (native or bilingual). 

  • Strong editorial and creative judgement; confident in story craft and visual language. 

  • Strong attention to detail. 

  • Outstanding organisational/time‑management and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Clear, persuasive communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Resilient under pressure; thrives on hard deadlines and evolving priorities. 

Advantageous Skills: 

  • Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro. 

  • Familiarity with OpenText and Flex archive solutions/workflows. 

  • Experience in Olympic, sports, or other major international event broadcast operations. 

  • Experience working across multicultural and multilingual environments. 

  • Knowledge of emerging production technologies, digital storytelling tools, or innovative content formats. 

  • Demonstrated ability to support organisational change and evolve content processes.
