Full Description

The Manager, National Sports Events is responsible for planning, managing, and executing Red Bull’s defined national and regional sports events and partnerships strategy. With a mandate to deliver measurable business impact, the role focuses on end-to-end event delivery, operational excellence, and on-site execution, while ensuring alignment with Red Bull’s brand and business objectives.

This role requires strong event execution expertise, operational discipline, cross-functional coordination, and an innovative mindset. The Manager, National Sports Events will directly manage national and regional event execution, optimize tools and processes, supports and enables the Field Marketing teams, and ensure events are delivered on time, on budget, and to brand standards.

  • EVENT PLANNING & EXECUTION

    Plan, manage, and execute Red Bull’s national, regional, and global sports events and partnerships, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, business objectives, and consumer engagement goals.

    Translate overarching event strategies into clear executional plans, timelines, and deliverables set by the Sr. Manager, Sport Events & Sponsorships and leadership team.

    Manage and own the execution and implementation of multiple projects simultaneously by coordinating budgets, production timelines, staffing, logistics, venue scouting, onsite needs, and overall project approvals.

    Manage the operational execution of event vehicles and sport trailers, including scheduling, deployment, on-site usage, and post-event reporting.

    Track, document, and report on event performance, providing clear recaps and execution-focused recommendations for improvement.

  • OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND ON-SITE EXECUTION

    Oversee and co-execute all National Small Fire initiatives, working closely with Field Marketing teams to ensure creative and impactful activations, as well as ensuring on-site support alongside regional Field members.

    Support Field Marketing Regions with the planning and execution of Small Fire events, providing expertise, resources, and guidance to ensure alignment with national and global strategies.

    Oversee the execution of key national and global 3rd Party events and partnerships, working with regional teams to ensure seamless integration with Red Bull’s brand and business goals.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and execute Tent Pole events, serving as the primary point of contact for participants, merchandising programs, branding, and other key deliverables.

  • CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION & STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

    Act as a central liaison between internal teams—Field Marketing, Brand, Media Network, Consumer Collecting, Logistics, Athlete Management, and Gaming—to ensure integrated planning and execution of sports events.

    Provide regular execution updates to the Sr. Manager, Sport Events & Sponsorships and key stakeholders on timelines, risks, opportunities, and deliverables.

    Build and maintain high-value relationships with external stakeholders, including production agencies, suppliers, vendors, tourism and city event partners, ensuring strategic alignment and flawless collaboration.

    Track and document best practices from national and regional activations to share with internal teams, driving continuous improvement and innovation across the organization.

  • INNOVATION, INSIGHTS & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

    Identify and capitalize on emerging trends and technologies in event marketing, experiential activations, and digital engagement to ensure Red Bull’s events remain cutting-edge and culturally relevant.

    Lead post-event evaluations, generating detailed recaps that highlight successes, areas for improvement, and actionable insights to inform future strategies.

EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • 6 –10 years of experience in senior-level sports or event marketing management, with a strong emphasis on managing large-scale national and regional initiatives. 
  • Demonstrated success in leading multi-stakeholder projects and delivering measurable impact through sponsorships, partnerships, and event marketing. 
  • Proven ability to manage complex operational programs and establish scalable processes to drive efficiency and performance. 
  • Extensive experience in providing strategic leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, regional teams, and external partners. 
  • Strong portfolio of innovative event concepts and campaigns that align with brand and business objectives.
  • Ability to think critically, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to improve event performance and business outcomes. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Sport and Event Management, Business, Communications, or a related field. 
  • Relevant certifications in project management, leadership, or event planning are considered an asset.
