Full Description

This position collaborates with PCC teams, cross functional teams, suppliers, textile mills and vendors, to develop and source fabrics, trims & components in region based on product development direction, supply chain strategies and overall business financial objectives. This role works closely with the team leaders from product development focusing on exploring and developing new materials, while meeting time and seasonal action calendar requirements and dates. This involves clear communication on development specifications to product development teams, suppliers, textile mills & vendors focusing in commercializing product, risk assessment, sourcing strategies, innovation, and provide technical expertise to the brand.  In addition, is responsible for the tracking, follow-up metrics of materials, maintaining complete and accurate records of them.

 How you will make an impact:

  • Lead the developers team through the prototyping, sampling, and production of all new materials – including fabrics, components, trims, branding elements – and manage the coloration process to support the material requirements for Fanatics’ sport products.
  • Deep focus on technical solutions for textile process of fabrics & colors – Oriented approach to leverage suppliers technical guidance.
  • Ensure product integrity – of all business channels Fanatics and Nike by initiating the testing of all materials, inclusive of QC and domestic decoration testing, to meet the needs of customers and business requirements.
  • Monitor risk and ensure compliance – Identify potential risks across materials or supply base and proactively implement mitigation strategies while ensuring full adherence to testing and regulatory standards.
  • Deliver strategic material intelligence – Share relevant technical insights with cross-functional partners, including material direction, supplier activity, process innovations, trends, and strategic developments. 
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all communication for material data & specification sheets, RMDS, trackers and quality hangers for all seasonal new and carryover materials.
  • Consistently utilize technical expertise to proactively minimize QA issues.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams – Collaborate closely with product development, sourcing, planning, and product integrity teams to ensure seamless material execution and alignment with calendar milestones.
  • Elevate supplier relationships – Build strategic partnerships with key mills and vendors to unlock innovation, improve responsiveness, and ensure long-term supply continuity.

What you bring to the team:

  1. Textile operations expertise with +5 years of proven leadership across raw materials, manufacturing, and end-to-end supply chain strategy. 
  2. Bachelor’s Degree, in a related field of Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent functional experience. 
  3. Demonstrated success in driving operational processes, innovation, and cost efficiency within complex, fast-paced environments.
  4. Knowledge on different yarn types and knitted material characteristics (blends, count, weight, strength, warmth, wicking, etc)
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power BI, PLM softwares. Gerber, 3D development, Digital Color and Natific experience is a plus. 
  6. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to partner cross functionally and effectively with PCC areas and overseas offices. 
  7. Proven experience in developing, supervising, and training teams across all responsibilities, ensuring on-time, efficient, and accurate approvals and processing.
  8. Industry technical English is required.
  9. Willing and able to travel extensively, often to foreign and/or remote locations (holds a valid U.S. visa is a plus)
