Full Description
As Manager of Innovation, you are tasked with identifying new opportunities, generating creative concepts, and driving innovation within our trading card category. You will be responsible for creating a vision for future trading card components based on research and analysis of market trends, competitor offerings, and new advancements in printing and finishing processes. In this role, you will:
- Become a subject matter expert in the trading card marketplace, reviewing competitor products to identify opportunities for new programs or improvements to existing ones.
- Manage the development of new trading card prototypes from start to finish, including working with designers and engineers, leading design validation efforts, and assisting with manufacturing implementation.
- Research the latest cutting-edge advancements in printing and finishing to leverage new technologies or processes.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to corroborate printing parameters and overall card quality.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the implementation of new programs, considering the costs, resources, and time needed to execute successfully.
- Present concepts and findings to collaborators, partners, and senior leadership in clear language that all stakeholders can understand.
As the ideal candidate, you possess:
- Minimum 6+ years professional experience in a related role.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with trading cards, collectibles and/or consumer goods.
- Expert understanding of prepress, print, and manufacturing.
- Creativity, communication skills, and strategic thinking.
- Problem-solving agility – able to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
The salary range for this position is $120,000-$160,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
