Manager Inbound
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
The Inbound Manager at the Distribution Center plays a crucial role in overseeing all inventory movements and storage operations. This position involves leading a dedicated team of three Supervisors, along with managing a workforce of over 40 indirect reports. The Inbound Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate inventory handling, optimizing storage solutions, and implementing best practices to enhance operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily inbound operations within the distribution center, ensuring efficient management of inventory, receiving processes, and the returns area to optimize workflow and accuracy
· Lead staffing projections and execute the monthly operational plan to ensure optimal workforce allocation and efficiency in inbound operations
· Ensure excellent service levels by maintaining high standards of inventory management and ensuring inventory accuracy to our customers through inventory management
· Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the team to enhance operational efficiency and ensure consistent performance.
· Ensure productivity targets in all Inbound processes
· Actively lead and participate in the development and implementation of new projects
· Establish, implement, and oversee performance indicators to drive continuous improvement in processes
· Create, train, and empower the team in administrative processes and operational concepts
· Identify and develop talent successors
· Define and run tenders for outsourced employees' vendors
· Responsible for operational supplies stock buying and control
· Manage inbound complexity: Case racks and pallets infrastructure, inventory control, 6S, safety and standardized processes that guarantee world-class execution
Key Relationships:
· SCM: Order Fulfillment, Customs, DC Team (Planning, Outbound, Lean, Facilities)
· HR and Legal team
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading teams of 30 or more people
- Demonstrated statistical and analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills to all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Computer skills: Office 365, PowerBI
- Fluent in English and local language, third language is a plus
- Analytical skills
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor degree in logistics or in another relevant discipline
• Experience working in logistics or in manufacturing operations
