Job Description

Wasserman is looking for a Manager with experience and passion for consulting and sponsorship marketing within Entertainment and Sports to join the team. This is a unique opportunity to be the day to day contact for a major blue-chip brand client providing strategic support and partnership management for their expanding and industry-leading global music platform. The role would initially involve managing global partnerships within Music including venues, festivals and artists, while supporting other key strategic initiatives across the client’s global sponsorship portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have sponsorship industry experience as well as experience forming data and insight backed strategies that inform marketing decisions. In addition, strong account and project management skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Day to day management of strategic music partnerships for key Wasserman client, driving measurable and sustainable results.
  • Takes lead on proactive client communications, in particular status meetings, partner management, project management, and pro-active value add advisory.
  • Assists with management of day-to-day contractual elements, providing pro active guidance and best practice where applicable.

Strategic Advisory

  • Lead development of strategic deliverables (presentations, memos, etc.) to advise clients and partners on recommendations.
  • Support the end-to-end onboarding and renewal of key partnerships including partner identification, valuations, negotiation and roll out.
  • Analyse inter agency activation plans ensuring alignment with overall client goals.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to apply measurement framework, track key metrics, analyse results and present findings to the client.
  • Uses forward thinking initiative to identify the next best strategic opportunities and continue to deliver top results to the client.
  • Support the Account Lead with additional strategic deliverables beyond music that arise from time to time.

Relationship Management

  • Manages client and partner relationships to ensure the client is fully leveraging all benefits and assets.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with clients, partners, as well as agency teams and third parties.
  • Build relationships with each of the client’s local teams across key priority markets.

New Business / Projects

  • Builds relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.
  • Assists with new business pitches as arise throughout the year, including contribution to international pitches / RFPs where best practice resides locally.
  • Quickly understands Wassermanʼs capabilities and services, and effectively communicates all offerings to clients and prospects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • 4+ years relevant experience with minimum 2 years of direct experience in partnership management and/or consultancy
  • Specific experience working in partnerships and/or programs within a sponsorship
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word and Excel for deck development and budget management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Superior interpersonal skills and be able to create a rapport with people of all demographics.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in music/ music events with some knowledge of the industry/ entertainment landscape
  • Strong team-focused capabilities to support team in accomplishing goals
  • A commitment to produce quality output and strive for ongoing optimisation of processes
