POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance supervisor is a designated person to oversee and supervise maintenance personal ensuring we are aligned with company requirements continuously improving the uptime, response time and performance with a reliable cost. Maintenance supervisor is responsible for work order completion, service, PM completion / implementation / development and it plays a leader role with his team to ensure the engagement, training and good performance. Supports team members, makes plans and ensure deadlines compliance. Maintenance supervisor will be in charge of developing a predictive maintenance agenda ensuring long term vision of business plan and longevity of equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance agenda for all equipment, ensuring timely execution.
  • Establish and maintain a strategic safety stock inventory for spare parts to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of maintenance activities using the CMMS system to monitor performance.
  • Collaborate with production and operational excellence teams on projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Explore and develop predictive maintenance initiatives to proactively address potential equipment failures.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for direct reports to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Performs weekend plans to ensure production support minimizing over time requirements.
  • Support maintenance team to quickly diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions or failures, coordinating with vendors or contractors when necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of the maintenance budget, tracking expenses and implementing cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Conduct regular inspections and PM audits of equipment to identify and address any issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks and equipment upgrades
  • Analyze CMMS data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • OSHA Compliance by checking for safety violations, monitoring hazardous waste, and implementing safety procedures.
  • Support with equipment restoring procedures and execution during power outages accordingly to the emergency response plan.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

  • This role requires additional follow up and communication with Facilities Manager and contractors to ensure any building requirement is addressed and resolved to avoid production affectations or safety issues.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear and sit. This job also requires close vision at 20 inches or less. Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 ft. or more), Color Vision (the ability to identify and distinguish colors), Perpipheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distance and spatial relationships), Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust eyes to bring an object into focus). MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

  • Required:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Proven experience with electrical systems, mechanical systems, and hydraulic systems.
  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant coursework in hydraulics or automation can be advantageous.

Certification and Licenses (Preferred):

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or similar certification.
  • Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (CIMM) or related credentials.
  • Hydraulic or Pneumatic Certification for specific expertise in hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) if project management experience is important for the role.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of maintenance technicians. Experience in managing performance, providing feedback, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions. Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and optimizing maintenance processes.
  • Project Management: Experience in planning, executing, and managing maintenance projects. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Communication: Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and prepare detailed maintenance reports.
  • Safety and Compliance: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices. Ability to enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Expertise in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life.
  • Budgeting and Cost Management: Experience in managing maintenance budgets, controlling costs, and finding cost-effective solutions for repairs and upgrades.
  • Technical Documentation: Proficiency in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or similar software.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work conditions. Flexibility to handle unexpected issues and adjust maintenance plans as needed.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with other departments and external vendors. Commitment to providing high-quality support and ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and departments to achieve common goals and improve overall facility performance.

ENVIRONMENT AND SCHEDULING

  • Work is performed in a machine shop and manufacturing plant setting.
  • Must be flexible and available to work additional hours when necessary.
