THE POSITION

These are your key tasks:

• Providing operational support to the Lead Regional Office 
• Supporting the implementation of the FIFA Forward programme for South America by processing applications, monitoring & supporting the implementation and completion of projects
• Assisting and servicing the Member Associations Division in processing and planning FORWARD projects and other key development aspects to be presented to FIFA, fulfilling regulatory obligations 
• Monitoring the internal documentation and evaluation process for project applications and other components of FORWARD and other FIFA-related initiatives across the region. 
• Providing regular status reports to the direct line manager and the FIFA MA Regional Director for the Americas
• Monitoring process and advice MAs on the planning, implementation and monitoring phases of development projects 
• Participating in workshops, congresses, meetings and seminars
• Enhancing the level of services, delivering the needed guidance in situ, supervising the legacy and impact of each project in-depth and the correct use of the funds.
• Assess the advancement of the projects and investment in development activities in situ and advise on the correct measures for their continued effective implementation.
• Act as the first source for consultation and evaluation of the project dossier to be submitted by the MA.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:

• Good sense of planning and organisation of activities, ability to set priorities
• Reliability, trustworthiness, patience and flexibility in a fast-moving landscape
• Diplomacy and integrity, respect, authenticity
• Able to quickly establish trust and good working relationships, to work collaboratively and effectively with others and to meet deadlines
• Team player, strong sense of integrity and inclusion and able to adapt to and work within diverse cultures
• Empathy and excellent listening skills 
• University Degree, Master’s degree or similar higher education in Management, Sports Management or related field preferable
• 5-7 years of experience in a similar role 
• Proven track record in managing complex projects 
• Experience in the Sports industry is an advantage 
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Proficiency in any other FIFA language (PT / F) is an asset
• Excellent usage of MS Office, e-learning and web-based applications 
• Understanding of Project management software is an asset
• Willingness to travel at least one week per month 
• Willingness to relocate and travel very often 
• Identification with football and FIFA
