We are excited to be searching for a Learning Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for executing learning activities across assigned regions, ensuring alignment with the strategic plan and efficient resource allocation during peak periods. Manage a team of regional leads, providing coaching and guidance to ensure high-quality, consistent learning experiences.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead the execution of learning activity across assigned regions, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic plan set by the Learning Delivery Manager, ensuring efficient allocation of learning delivery resources during peak periods and critical times of the year.
  • Coordinate with venue planners, casual workforce, and cross-functional teams, including finance, to ensure all logistical and operational aspects of learning delivery are aligned and executed smoothly.
  • Provide direct line management to regional leads, offering guidance, support, and coaching to ensure they deliver high-quality learning experiences across their areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinate the allocation and development of regional coordinator allocation, ensuring appropriate staffing and expertise to deliver impactful learning programs across locations.
  • Monitor the consistency of learning delivery across regions, ensuring all programs meet pedagogical objectives and coordinator resource is adjusted based on regional variance across the season.
  • Work closely with regional stakeholders, internal teams, and external vendors to ensure learning programs are well-coordinated and aligned with organisational and learner needs.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to regional leads and teams, enhancing individual and team performance through regular one-on-one sessions and productive team meetings.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the regional teams, seeking innovative solutions to improve learning processes, operational efficiency and consistency of approach across the country.
  • Identify potential risks to the learning experience and proactively implement solutions to minimise disruptions, ensuring a seamless and high-quality learning environment.
  • Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group's changing priorities.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and well-being can be maintained.

What are we looking for?

Essential for the role:

Knowledge:

  • Degree qualification in learning, education, sport, or a related field, providing deep understanding in pedagogical principles and event management strategies.
  • Expert knowledge of national learning delivery frameworks and multi-modal learning strategies (in-person, virtual, hybrid) across multiple regions or divisions.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in leading large-scale learning initiatives, including national or multi-regional learning programs, ensuring consistency in quality and delivery.
  • Proven line management experience of mid-level leaders (e.g., Regional Delivery Leads), with a strong focus on mentoring, coaching, and developing leadership capability.
  • Leadership in learning delivery, with experience executing, and optimising learning programs to meet business objectives and workforce needs.
  • Comprehensive event management and logistics experience, ensuring the effective planning and execution of learning programs on a national scale.
  • Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting for large-scale learning initiatives and ensuring cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Risk management experience including anticipating potential disruptions and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure smooth operations.

Skills:

  • Advanced communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms, with experience overseeing the integration and optimization of these tools across multiple regions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills, capable of leveraging data to inform strategic decisions and optimize learning delivery.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects at different stages, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with national objectives.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills, capable of delivering high-impact presentations to executive leadership, external partners, and large audiences.

Beneficial to have:

Knowledge:

  • Postgraduate qualification or certification in project management, event management, or change management, offering advanced knowledge in managing large-scale projects or transformations.
  • In-depth understanding of budgeting and financial forecasting for large-scale events, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational objectives.

Experience:

  • Experience in a leadership role within a learning or education-focused organisation, with proven success in aligning learning delivery with overarching business strategies.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Experience in managing risk and compliance, ensuring all learning delivery complies with legal and organizational standards, including health and safety, data privacy, and diversity and inclusion.

Skills:

  • Expertise in using project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Monday.com) to manage large-scale, multi-region learning projects, ensuring successful execution and resource allocation.
  • Proficiency in virtual event platforms and tools, with the ability to seamlessly integrate these into a national learning strategy for hybrid or fully virtual learning delivery.
  • Strong change management capabilities, with a focus on leading teams through large-scale transformations in learning practices and workforce development.

Our Organisation
