Job Summary:

Fanatics Collectibles is looking to add you to the team – an experienced, talented new colleague to fill the position of Lead, Privacy, Fanatics Collectibles. You will be a part of Fanatics Collectibles' global team working closely with senior leadership. This role will be cross-functional and support all business groups across all areas. As the Lead, Privacy, Fanatics Collectibles, you will lead and play a critical role in safeguarding the personal and confidential data of our customers, partners and employees globally. You will work on the development, implementation, and management of privacy policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and other global data protection laws across all of our businesses. You will oversee privacy technology and partner with key stakeholders to ensure privacy processes are operating as intended. This position requires a go-getter, sleeve-roller strategic thinker and practical executer with strong leadership, teamwork skills and extensive, diverse global expertise in privacy management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively develop and implement Data Privacy Policies: work on the creation, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive data privacy policies and procedures in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Monitor Regulatory Changes: Partner with our Legal organization to stay informed of and provide guidance on current and emerging privacy laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Privacy Technology & Processes: Identify and oversee the use of centralized privacy management platforms and their required updates (e.g. OneTrust) to manage privacy processes efficiently.
  • Data Subject Rights: Assume management and overseeing process for handling data subject requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide strategic guidance and partnership with other functional departments and business units across the Fanatics Collectibles businesses and the overall Fanatics Group as appropriate to ensure data privacy is integrated into all business processes and systems.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendor management to evaluate and manage privacy risks associated with third-party vendors and service providers.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments, data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), and audits to identify potential privacy risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on data privacy principles, policies, and best practices.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the data privacy program and report findings to leadership.
  • Incident Response: Assist with providing responses to data breaches and privacy incidents, including investigation, notification, and remediation efforts.

In NYC, the salary range for this position is $150,000 - $188,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. In Los Angeles, the salary range for this position is $138,000 - $173,000. The listed salary ranges are specific to NYC or Los Angeles and may not be applicable to other locations. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.

Fanatics Collectibles is a leading licensor, producer, designer, and seller of physical and digital trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other digital assets for entertainment and sports properties globally, as well as a manufacturer of physical and digital trading cards. It has secured exclusive licensing arrangements with major national professional sports leagues, including the MLB, NFL and the NBA, and related players associations, to produce physical and digital trading cards and other collectibles.

Fanatics Collectibles also has partnerships with a number of individual international sports teams and leagues, as well as owners of other entertainment properties granting similar exclusive rights. Fanatics Collectibles recently announced Fanatics Live, expected to launch later in 2023, which will focus on transforming the digital shopping experience through personality-driven content and entertainment.
