WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

As a Lead Footwear Color Designer in Nike By You,  you will collaborate with the Design Triad, consisting of Footwear Design, Materials, Graphics, and Print. Layering in Product Marketing, Merchandising, Color/Material/Trim Development, as well as Tech Development.  You will work under the direction of our Director, Athlete Promo Footwear CMG Design Expression and be reviewed by other directors from other functions.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for an exceptional Lead Designer, NBY Footwear Color Design  to combine their experience, problem-solving abilities, and creativity to help create the future of Nike By You.

The ideal teammate will be a highly creative problem solver. This is someone who doesn’t settle for anything less than the best design and materials solutions, to meet the needs of the consumer on and off the court. They’ll be focused on elevating the consumer experience by creating

  • Bachelor's degree in Design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • At least 5-6 years’ experience in color design.
  • Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives.
  • Understanding of color trends, color mixing, color compatibility, and color placement
  • Ability to collaborate with other designers/Design Directors to build palettes and color flow based on category color strategy
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of color technology and how to achieve desired color effects: materials, dyes, finishes and color achievability
  • Ability to build seasonal color concepts,
  • Knowledge of product design and development process
  • Strong Photoshop, Illustrator skills
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
  • Experienced with presentation programs: Keynote, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
  • Ability and passion to mentor, and onboard Design teammates
  • Contribute and align to shared team culture and behaviors
  • Catalyst to make connections with other Design groups
