Purpose of Role

Under Armour is looking for a Lead Marketing Planner OMNI/ GTM to join the EMEA Marketing Operations team based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The position reports directly to the Sr. Manager Marketing Operations for EMEA. This role is focused on strategic planning and driving operational excellence for the entire regional Marketing organization. The Marketing Planner acts as the connective tissue between the strategy and execution of any given project and drives cross-functional collaboration and alignment.

Your Impact

  • Guide cross-functional Marketing team through the GTM process and EMEA specific Marketing process.

Marketing Planning

  • Bring cross-functional (OMNI) marketing initiatives to life with close coordination across the regional marketing functional teams.
  • Able to take strategic concepts and quickly shift into detailed planning.
  • Create end-to-end project plans, including detailing elements, dependencies, and timing.
  • Partner with project leads and regional marketing functional teams to build integrated marketing communication plans.
  • Oversee, and advise on, budget implications for each project (active tracking & scoping)
  • Proactively identify, and escalate, risks to timelines and launch plans all while keeping a calm disposition in the face of unforeseen issues.
  • Lead cross-functional planning meetings, and represent and communicate key milestones (plan agenda's, capture action items, communicate deliverables).
  • Maintain and organize project folders and key documents.
  • Gather project results and learnings to drive future enhancements and ultimately deliver more impact/ increase project efficacy.

Go to Market

  • Manage the region-specific GTM (sub) process(es), outlining roles & responsibilities, and identify potential optimizations in current processes.
  • Contribute to the GTM process from a regional marketing perspective:
    • Collaborate with Global Marketing Operations and EMEA GTM teams to streamline and optimize GTM process
    • Lead regional marketing cross-functional planning & alignment sessions for all global touchpoints (seasonal workshops, hand-offs etc.) safeguarding timely alignment between marketing functions & validate marketing teammates' responsibilities to show up fully prepared.
    • Manage dates and gates. Ensure regional needs are accounted for in process and communicated up & down to make for an effective go to market process.
  • Be a key point of contact and brand ambassador for key functions outside of the marketing org, including (bi-)weekly Global and Regional GTM meetings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.
  • +6 years of experience in brand, marketing, or communications (within Europe across sports and/or lifestyle brand). Or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Ability to quickly orient within a matrixed marketing organization and hit the ground running as a cross-functional project lead.
  • Expert communication skills, both written and verbal, to keep a team of cross-functional individuals informed and on track through all phases of project development. Fluency of English is a must.
  • Outstanding collaboration, organizational, and planning abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize accordingly.
  • Passionate self-starter with a proven ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Must be detail-oriented, resourceful, self-motivated, and proactive.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment. Experience working for either a start-up or high-growth organization is a plus.
  • Experience working for a global brand with a strong, premium, and distinct culture.
  • Ability to transforms individual specialists into a tight team.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
  • Return to Work Designation: Hybrid work (baseline of minimum 2 days a week in-office.
