LEAD MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS ENGINEER

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

We are seeking a Lead Manufacturing Systems Engineer for our Jakarta office, as part of the Footwear Manufacturing Engineering team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Footwear Manufacturing Systems Engineering, you will collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineering team, Factory Partners, and Cross-functional stakeholders across Product Creation, Sourcing, Responsible Supply Chain, and Cost Engineering. This role supports all factory partners within the country.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Lead Manufacturing Systems Engineer plays a critical role in advancing Nike’s global Footwear Manufacturing Engineering strategy by driving standardized approaches, enabling innovation, and developing future-ready capabilities.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Engineering, Quality Management, Product Development, Automation, Lean, or Manufacturing, with at least 2 years of experience in influencing team or leading initiatives within Footwear or similar industries.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage.)

  • Proficiency in MS Office and business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

  • Strong systems thinking with a data-driven mindset, leveraging statistical tools to drive effective decision-making.

  • Proven ability to solve complex problems through innovative, forward-thinking approaches.

  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing operations, including systems, processes, technologies, and materials.

  • Demonstrated success in influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving alignment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will drive Nike’s mission to deliver world-class footwear by leading manufacturing and product excellence while enabling sustainable growth.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Factory Partners, and Cross-functional stakeholders to implement best practices, tools, and systems that elevate product quality and delivery.

  • Develop, implement, and scale effective quality solutions in partnership with Manufacturing Engineering to drive measurable improvements.

  • Influence internal stakeholders and factory partners to shape the future of manufacturing quality and performance.

  • Design and implement tools and systems to monitor progress, enabling data-driven decision-making and transparency.

  • Elevate manufacturing capabilities through capability development and adoption of modernized manufacturing solutions.

  • Drive manufacturing innovation at scale across factory partners.

  • Ensure alignment with global Footwear Manufacturing Engineering strategies while delivering impactful, locally tailored execution.
