WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will report directly to the Senior Manager, Inventory Control NA on the NA Supply Chain and Inventory Controlling team. You will serve as a key business partner across North America supply chain and inventory teams, collaborating closely with Inventory Management, Distribution Center Operations, Logistics, Technology, Controlling, and Finance teams. As the connective thread across these organizations, you will help align operational strategies and inventory control governance practices to enable both business objectives and ICFR integrity.
You will also work alongside stakeholders supporting new facility launches, inventory initiatives, process transformation efforts, and support technology-enabled solutions to drive greater visibility, accuracy, and efficiency across the network.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As the Lead, Inventory Control Accounting NA, you will be responsible for progressing our strategic priorities across the North America (NA) supply chain network, with a focus on representing Controlling to enable strategies across a wide range of operational and control-related accounting matters. We are looking for a strategic, highly collaborative Lead who is passionate about improving operational excellence and control execution efficiencies across Nike's North America network.
This individual thrives in ambiguity, is energized by solving complex operational challenges, and can translate inventory and supply chain data into actionable insights that support decision-making, risk management, and continuous improvement. A forward-thinking mindset, sound judgment, and the ability to balance strategic priorities with operational execution are essential to success in this role.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related functions
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR), Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) principles, and information technology general and automated controls; Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is a plus
Strong commercial and business acumen, with ability to translate business requirements into financial risks and controls
Proven track record of working independently, leading and prioritizing against multiple priorities, while delivering results with high quality
Ability to travel domestically 10-20% of the time
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will help shape the future of inventory control across Nike’s North America supply chain network. By connecting Finance, Operations, and Technology, you’ll drive strategic initiatives, strengthen inventory governance, improve reporting capabilities, and unlock innovative solutions that enhance visibility, agility, and operational excellence.
Serve as the primary Inventory Control representative for new facility launches, partnering with cross-functional teams to design inventory flows, assess control implications, and ensure operational readiness
Collaborate with Inventory Management, Distribution Center Operations, Logistics, Technology, Controlling, and Finance teams to identify and resolve issues impacting inventory accuracy and completeness
Lead strategic initiatives that improve inventory governance, operational efficiency, and control execution across the North America network
Analyze inventory and supply chain data to generate actionable insights that support business decisions, risk management activities, and continuous improvement efforts
Partner across Finance and Operations to align business objectives with Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) requirements and inventory control standards
Evaluate and integrate artificial intelligence capabilities into inventory control processes to improve visibility, accelerate decision-making, and enhance scalability
Support process transformation initiatives and technology-enabled solutions that strengthen reporting capabilities, improve operational execution, and position the business for future growth
