Business Continuity (BC) supports data-driven operational risk management decision-making to strengthen Nike's organizational resilience. BC regularly gathers business data to achieve this goal.
We're looking for a Lead, Data Governance & Quality Assurance to regularly validate BC data gathered, solve errors found, train teammates on QA best practices, and maintain good data governance practices.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
In this role you will:
- Lead BC and cross-functional QA projects to optimize data governance to effectively support and influence data driven, risk management decision-making
- Lead QA cross-functional efforts to remediate data discrepancies and errors and establish processes and controls to mitigate risk of recurrence
- Own and drive the review of BC work executed against frameworks and tools designed for Quality Assurance to support providing data-driven insights and recommendations to business and enabling functions
- Own and drive the design, maintenance and optimization of BC Frameworks for Quality Assurance, including playbooks, templates, and other tools
- Manage the BC Tech Stack to maximize Quality Assurance while following a standardized approach aligned with BC frameworks and tools designed to execute work against
- Assess and provide in-depth analysis (i.e. critical thinking) and feedback to correct and optimize data quality, as well as support program scalability
- Ensure and perform pre-mortems to mitigate the risk of data points dependent on each other from corrupting data reporting
- Provides direction, training and mentorship to teammates on how to optimize data quality by leveraging Lessons Learned and best practices
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years business experience, preferably in roles related to Quality Assurance, audit, finance, or other fields with direct exposure to vast amounts of data to aggregate, analyze and validate
- 5+ years experience in BC preferred
- 3+ years experience using Fusion Risk Management preferred
- Experience using Jira preferred
- A systems thinker with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to proactively solve QA issues, perform Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), and mitigate risk of recurrence
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize a varied workload with multiple stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and comfort with ambiguity
- Strong communication skills with ability to influence others to promote collaboration and problem solving
- Ability to simplify complex reporting concepts and requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certified BC Professional preferred
