Lead Data Engineer - Nike Inc. - Beaverton, OR. Develop, code, configure, test programs and systems, and provide solutions to problems in order to meet defined digital product specifications and direction. Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including coding, testing, debugging, and installing for a small- to mid-scale systems. Provide leadership to the squad and work team, deliver a vision for work requirements for the quarter. Design the scope of sprints within the quarter. Collaborate with the product owner and assist with managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring prompt and complete customer service. Commit to deliverables with customers and management. Build libraries, user defined functions, and frameworks on Hadoop and Cloud ecosystem. Research, evaluate, and utilize new technologies, tools, and frameworks around AWS and DataBricks ecosystems. Deliver solutions related to Cloud Big Data Platform implementations. Utilize knowledge of cloud architecture specifically in AWS and DataBricks environments. Design, develop, and deliver business intelligence and analytics solutions in collaboration with cross functional teams. Perform scripting in shell and python. Lead software development tasks and provide project management. Work with high volumes of data. Architect, design, and build data pipelines. Model data structures. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
Must have a Masters degree in Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, and 2 years of experience in the position offered or in a Engineering-related occupation.
