WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

The Lead, Business Planner will report to the Sales Planning Director and work closely with the wider team of Business Planners/Assortment Planners and succeed through their ability to collaborate and drive best practice.

The Lead, Business Planner will work cross functionally with Marketplace, Merchandising and Supply Chain teams to drive strategic vision and to deliver in season results, their role will be critical in feeding work streams through Finance, Operations and Planning functions.

As well as internal stakeholders, They’ll engage with key retailer’s buying and planning teams in seasonal planning conversations to plan the business.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Business Planner to define and manage multi season financial plans by category to ensure consumer demand is met and a pull market is maintained. The Business Planner’s goal is to optimize demand and supply through top-down financial planning which captures true marketplace demand, delivering profitable sustainable growth and inventory productivity for Nike and our partners.   • Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Sales, Retail, Marketing or related field.
  • 3 years+ Merchandise planning experience, in a vertical retail or wholesale environment.
  • Strong Excel skills are essential.
  • Strong critical thinking capabilities with a growth mindset.
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail math required.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management experience.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a Business Planner, you will play a meaningful role in defining, crafting and setting ‘marketplace right’ consumer demand whilst driving the strategic vision of Nike Pacific through our Marketplace Partners. This role will be responsible for defining and leading multi-season Stock and Sales Plans & Open To Buy with a focus on retail sales, margin and E2E inventory plans.

A typical month will include:

  • Adjusting and aligning Financial Plans based on targets and actuals.
  • Defining receipt or shipment plans to our partners.
  • In-season business trading through monitoring trends and driving cross functional actions.
  • Reconciling assortment plans with financial plans and align to consumer architecture.
  • Contract management/forecasting in conjunction with the Assortment Planner and Marketplace team to drive financial plans and inventory goals.
  • Delivering clear insight on risks and opportunities to the wider business with robust recommendations/action plans.
  • Long range financial planning to align to our Nike Pacific 5 year strategy.
  • Clear, concise storytelling and the ability to influence and engage key stakeholders across the business is critical to the success of this role.
