OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE 

This individual is committed to unlocking more efficient ways of working across our local and geo-based cross-functional team(s). As a result, they will author and implement new ways of working. In addition, they will maintain key existing processes to ensure consistent operational excellence is held across the function.  

PROJECT MANAGEMENT 

This individual will help streamline our approach and execution of project management. In addition, this candidate will lead some marketing projects, and be a pivotal support for others bodies of work. Consequently, the candidate should have comprehensive experience on managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. 

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON 

You will mine and share consumer insights and opportunities for the brand. You will collaborate with teammates across Nike to bring creative thinking to life. You will execute plans anchored in our athletes, innovation, and marketplace. You will build relationships with internal/external partners, community leaders, and Canadian athletes.  

The ideal candidate loves working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving, positive and collaborative team environment. They're a self-starter who thrives working through ambiguity and enjoys leading new and innovative approaches for their team. Our Team is divided into two core teams Nike Store Partner (NSP) and  Nike Marketplace Partner (NMP). We will be hiring two Project and Operations Leads, dedicating one to each of these teams. 

You’ll work alongside the Director, or Senior Managers, Leads, and Specialists in developing marketing strategies and driving consumer connection with Nike. A typical day will include equal parts internal and external conversations.  Your internal Nike teammates will include SCI, sports marketing, sales, merch, planning, and finance supply chain. External relationship management includes, but is not limited to, local athletes, coaches, organizations, and agency partners.  

As Project Management Lead for assigned areas, you will own and lead the end-to-end project execution, from briefings to recaps. 

Below is a list of some pivotal skills and actions required to fulfill.  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across cities, geos, and global  
  • Proactively integrate Canada into major Planning and Creative milestones

( i.e. Lead Canada POV at Weekly North America check-points for the Brand Planning and Operations function which spans across country, Geo and Global teams)

  • Implement new best practices to create efficiencies across the team 

i.e. author new playbooks for how we go-to-market for major initiatives

such as retail grand openings

  • Expand the greater team’s understanding of the consumer, including aspirations, behaviors, interests, functional needs and values 
  • Oversee the end-to-end insights gathering process 
  • Lead strategic mobilization of seasonal CODE and 365 planning    
  • Drive adoption of new Operations and tools ( i.e. AirTable integration)
  • Serve as a key contributor for key Sport Offense and ideate creative opportunities for local activation  
  • Contribute to updating the new roster of local marketing agencies 
  • Track notes and deliverables in integrated marketing & team meetings 
  • As a consistent project manager, act as a key author for all team contracts & admin milestones  

(i.e. across finance, Contract Central, Trademark Aravo, legal, etc…) 

  • Fulfill the seasonal Canadian product forecast to launch (specialist to help order)
  • Support mutually beneficial partnerships across the creative, media and sport community and the brand 
  • Share knowledge and trends with the team & help discover Toronto-based creators, communities and athletes 
  • Lead select local design projects  (i.e. grassroots events like OFSAA)  

WHAT YOU BRING 

  • Ability to prioritize effectively for greatest impact across brand and the business 
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, agile culture 
  • Enjoys process, and can drive one with confidence to command a room 
  • Strong follow-up skills, and anticipating next steps in a project's critical path comes naturally 
  • Passionate about learning new tools and technologies // is an early adopter  
  • Experience in internal tools a benefit: SAP, coupa, contract central,etc 
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, Keynote, PowerPoint. AirTable a major bonus. 
  • Experience with finance (cutting POs) and using other corporate tools to move work forward 
  • Detail oriented & results oriented. This position requires someone who can plan ahead, think analytically, and keep projects moving in the right direction despite ambiguity 
  • Key lifeline on our team as the "doer" when it comes to mobilizing the right tools to launch and execute a project 
  • Strong passion and expertise for either Future of Fitness / Running or Basketball 
  • Ability to develop and maintain fair and honest relationships at all levels, both internally and externally 
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with key accounts, organizations and individuals in and around the Canada sport communities 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • High school degree. (University degree/College diploma in related field a bonus)
  • Applied Project management experience  
  • 7+ years relevant work experience 

The annual base compensation for this position generally ranges from 102K to 153k. Actual compensation will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.

Please note: This is an individual contributor or People Leader/ Hybrid role based out of our Nike Canada Downtown Toronto HQ (Mondays to Thursdays on-site and Fridays, remote)
