ROLE OVERVIEW 

As a Junior Buyer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining a compelling product assortment that maximises fan experience and delivers strong commercial returns. Supporting our Senior Buyer, you will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely product availability, manage purchase orders, and support assortment planning across retail and e-commerce channels. 

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE: 

  • Build and maintain product assortments aligned with fan demand and business objectives. 
  • Creation and management of range plans, line sheets, and assortment reviews. 
  • Negotiating commercial terms with suppliers, including pricing, margins, exclusivity, and payment terms. 
  • Work with suppliers/licensees & brands to build deeper commercial relationships to deliver strategy. 
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery, quality standards, and cost efficiency. 
  • Work closely with the merchandising team to create & deliver supplier/ category plan, and ensure buys are aligned to financial budgets. 
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, tech, content, and e-commerce teams to support brand launches, activations, and promotional campaigns. 
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to inform buying decisions and identify growth opportunities. 
  • Maintain accurate product and pricing information across systems and platforms. 
  • Participate in regular reviews to identify assortment gaps and implement best practices. 
  • Undertake additional duties as required, including supporting events and hot markets (may involve weekend or late-night work) 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM: 

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in buying, merchandising, or product assortment management (preferably in licensed sports or fashion). 
  • Proven experience building and managing relationships with suppliers. 
  • Strong understanding of retail and e-commerce operations. 
  • Proficiency in Excel and buying systems; Oracle/BI system knowledge desirable. 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. 
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Commercial awareness and proactive problem-solving approach.

  • Range planning and selection 
  • Supplier management and negotiations 
  • Critical Path & Delivery Scheduling 
  • Promotion & Markdown planning 
  • Product set-up and data management
