Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

The IT Project Manager Applications will work together with the service providers on the implementation of the applications and systems.

S/he will support the key-users of related Functional Areas in defining their requirements making sure the application providers deliver according to the needs identified. S/he contribute to the User acceptance testing together with applications key-users and support the Application provider and the Application integration provider in the monitoring and management of application incidents and service requests.

We are searching for a highly motivated and qualified IT Project Manager with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in managing IT projects focused on software application implementation. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in successfully orchestrating complex projects, from initial planning to delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to the implementation phase, closely monitoring milestones and ensuring the achievement of established objectives.

2. Communication and Collaboration: Effectively coordinate with various stakeholders, including development teams, QA departments, and clients. Maintain clear and transparent communication to ensure a constant flow of information.

3. Risk Control and Problem Resolution: Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans. Manage issues promptly, seeking effective solutions to ensure project success.

4. Performance Evaluation: Constantly monitor project performance against set objectives, making changes or improvements to the project plan as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Electroni Engineerng, Management Engeeniring

A Minimum of 2-3 years of specific experience in managing IT

projects related to software application implementation.

In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g.,

Waterfall, Agile, Scrum).

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related

field.

Familiarity with IT Architectures and Infrastructures:

Understanding of software architecture concepts, servers, cloud computing (AWS,

Azure, Google Cloud), and deployment systems.

Capability to understand business needs and translate them

into technical requirements.

Knowledge of Testing and Quality Assurance Processes:

Understanding software testing principles, QA methodologies, and automated

testing tools.

Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous

Deployment (CI/CD) Processes.
