The Business Analyst (BA) plays a vital role as the primary connection between our eCommerce business stakeholders and the IT department, ensuring that technical solutions meet the evolving needs of our online business. The BA possesses extensive knowledge in the business domain they support—such as B2B eCommerce—and demonstrates a strong understanding of modern technological advancements, including artificial intelligence (AI). This role emphasizes requirements engineering, with the BA expected to operate independently and take complete ownership of the end-to-end requirements process. Responsibilities include conducting thorough interviews and workshops with business stakeholders to identify needs, challenges, and strategic objectives.
The BA is responsible for creating detailed documentation, such as process flows and customer journey maps, to provide a clear understanding of the current state of the eCommerce architecture and the envisioned future state for this business area. They will translate high-level business requirements into precise, actionable deliverables for technical teams while fostering collaboration among stakeholders. Additionally, they will ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives and support the company’s efforts to strengthen its online competitive positioning.
The ideal candidate should be proficient in using AI tools for analysis and problem-solving, skilled in prototyping with platforms like Figma, and experienced in defining and managing requirements to deliver scalable, user-centric IT solutions. Familiarity with B2B eCommerce, product information management systems, online sales reporting KPIs, and SEO tools is a plus, though not mandatory.
