About the Internship: 

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Reporting to Director, FOB Forecasting & Analysis within the Sourcing Finance team, the intern will support sourcing related financial activities in the global sourcing hub in Hong Kong

Key Responsibilities and Projects in bullet points:

• Support the product cost (FOB) forecasting and modelling for all FOB planning cycles, reporting and analysis - Researching and tracking macroeconomic information to support better FOB forecasting process
• Support the Price Freeze process and related price adjustment / correction analysis
• Support the month-end closing process, forecasting, budgeting and wider accounting mechanics regarding Purchase Price Variances and stock revaluation processes - Using SAP and other internal systems for data extraction and supporting various analysis
• Develop and support financial / analytical modelling using various tools (Excel, Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, etc.) and contribute to process improvement initiatives
• Ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis as required

• Contribute to process improvements within the finance team
• Contribute to proper internal FOB price setting

• Finance, Costing, Material, Treasury, Accounting departments of adidas group

Required main study courses:

• Accounting / Finance / Business Management
• Computer Science / Information System
• Economics

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Advanced MS Office (incl. Power BI) and system experience (SQL, Alteryx is a plus)
• Excellent data analytical skills and enthusiastic in root cause analysis
• Proactive and striving for improvements in analysis, tools and methods
• Team player
