Our teams of technical experts specialize in harnessing live sporting data, using advanced cloud technologies, Java, JavaScript, and Python. It is these tech teams that enable us to extract patterns through AI and Machine Learning and deliver our insights via APIs. In short, they turn complex data into magical experiences with cutting-edge technology.
Responsibilities
The People Lead will manage a small team of HR Executives across multiple countries, providing daily leadership, coaching, and quality oversight. This role is central to ensuring efficient HR operations and an exceptional employee experience.
Key responsibilities include:
Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead, coach, and develop 3–4 HR Executives, driving performance, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the delivery of HR Shared Services activities within agreed SLAs, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance.
- Act as deputy to the HR Shared Services Manager, representing the function in meetings and ensuring operational continuity.
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of all employment documentation—contracts, change letters, leaver letters, and onboarding materials.
- Ensure employee records (digital and physical) are compliant with GDPR and internal retention policies.
Manage onboarding, data maintenance, and offboarding processes, ensuring an efficient and positive employee journey.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Conduct regular audits of HR files and processes, identifying gaps and implementing improvements.
- Partner with payroll and HRIS to ensure accuracy of data and timely processing of monthly changes.
- Manage and monitor ServiceNow queries, ensuring timely resolution and identifying trends for process optimization.
- Support or lead workstreams in HR transformation and system enhancement projects.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Service Excellence
- Act as a key liaison between HR Shared Services and internal departments, promoting strong working relationships and service excellence.
- Maintain a proactive approach to stakeholder communication, resolving issues quickly and professionally.
- Contribute to HR reporting and performance tracking, using data to inform decisions and highlight improvement areas.
Desired Qualifications
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including team leadership or mentoring within a shared services or operations environment.
- Strong working knowledge of HR processes, employment documentation, and compliance requirements (GDPR, data integrity).
- Demonstrated experience managing high-volume HR transactions and meeting SLA targets.
- Proficiency with HR systems (Oracle or equivalent preferred) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to monitor trends and drive improvements.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear and confident communicator with strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
- Proven track record of driving process improvement and ensuring operational excellence.
- Comfortable stepping into leadership responsibilities and deputizing for senior management when required.
