Full Description

Purpose of the Role:

  • Develop and manage high price segment, “hobby and hobby retail” products sales and distributon
  • Working together with current and future business partners to expand high-end trading (“hobby”) cards category in Germany
  • Establish strong relationship with all the stakeholders in this category (influencers, breakers, stores, distributors..)
  • Oversee Trading Card Show and Events in Germany

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and structure country specific strategies together with the Senior Sales Manger in order to achieve sales targets
  • Analyze local market opportunities and needs
  • Secure product release calendar
  • Define and implement marketing activations to support hobby category and grow the market
  • Manage hobby sales budget
  • Customer support
  • Check competition (releases and pricing)
  • Working together internal depts (operations, brand, finance) to secure allocation, delivery and profitable growth
  • Create a periodical reporting / tracking tool

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • At least 5 years experience in a relevant sales position.
  • A sports fan with a strong understanding of the commercial landscape.
  • Proven knowledge and application of a wide range of sales techniques and concepts to increase sales within the region.
  • Knowledge on the hoby trading card landscape will be a plus.
  • Ideally connected with games, hobby, bookstores and toy chains.
  • Engagement with local influencers and flagship stores in hobby & entertainment category .
  • Flexible and organised work method
  • Presentation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to change
  • Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • English skilled (verbally and written) completely a must

Fanatics Collectibles is a leading licensor, producer, designer, and seller of physical and digital trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other digital assets for entertainment and sports properties globally, as well as a manufacturer of physical and digital trading cards. It has secured exclusive licensing arrangements with major national professional sports leagues, including the MLB, NFL and the NBA, and related players associations, to produce physical and digital trading cards and other collectibles.

Fanatics Collectibles also has partnerships with a number of individual international sports teams and leagues, as well as owners of other entertainment properties granting similar exclusive rights. Fanatics Collectibles recently announced Fanatics Live, expected to launch later in 2023, which will focus on transforming the digital shopping experience through personality-driven content and entertainment.
