This is no ordinary Trade Marketing & Category Management role. This is where strategy turns into impact. As Head of Trade Marketing & Category Management in Off Premise, you’ll fuel the brand in-store, turning insights and plans into activations that deliver real results — always staying true to the brand’s personality and values.

  1. You will shape the sales strategy and bring it to life through Key Account and Field Sales teams. From eye-catching POS and category growth projects to trial-driving campaigns and precise sales analysis, you’ll ensure the brand doesn’t just appear on shelves — it owns them.
  2. You will lead a diverse, high-performing team of specialists, ranging from POS creation and cooler tracking to category management and data science, united by a shared mission to drive the brand forward. This role is more than managing tasks — it’s about inspiring, coaching, and challenging your team to reach their full potential and deliver measurable impact.
  3. You will report to the Commercial Director and lead our strategic work on Must Win Battles, as well as the execution of our brand and commercial priorities. As an integrated part of the commercial team, you will have front-line exposure to sales KPIs.

Your mission: look & act like #1 in-store, turn insights into action, and deliver trade marketing results that hit targets. Lead your team to activate campaigns, optimize POS, grow the Energy Drink category, and convert shopper engagement into performance.

  • CATEGORY AND TRADE MARKETING KNOWLEDGE & CAPABILITY

    • Develop trade marketing strategies, leveraging trade and marketing expertise to recommend the most effective trade-led activities.
    • Support and justify trade activity proposals with solid commercial rationale, driving brand guidelines while safeguarding brand image.
    • Collaborate closely with the Brand team to execute Red Bull initiatives on time across internal, trade, and shopper touchpoints.
  • ALIGNMENT AND COORDINATION OF FIELD SALES AND MARKETING ACTIVITIES

    • Translate the country marketing plan into a winning sales strategy. Proactively exchange ideas between Marketing and Sales, challenging the status quo.
    • Build and maintain a strong internal network across all key departments — Communications, Brand, Sales, and Operations — to ensure smooth and efficient execution.
    • Act as the main point of contact for the sales team, providing guidance and advice across all accounts.
    • Define the Perfect Store by channel in your market using the International Model, and drive alignment with customers and channels on trade marketing activities.
  • POOS TOOLS IMPLEMENTATION AND DEVELOPMENT/ADAPTATION

    • Ensure the global POS toolkit, incl. coolers, is used effectively, and that national POS is developed only when international material is not appropriate and a clear commercial benefit is recognized.
  • BUSINESS INSIGHTS & STRATEGIC PLANNING

    Identify, develop, and implement processes to drive sales performance, including:

    • Build and manage the data platform needed for analysis and insight generation, including direct oversight of data providers.
    • Identify opportunities and challenges, quantify their impact, prioritize actions, and deliver solutions to maximize growth or overcome obstacles.
    • Conduct sales performance analysis by customer, channel, and point of distribution.
    • Monitor customer performance across all sales fundamentals.
    • Develop channel-specific strategies, tools, and tactics (retail, impulse, etc.).
    • Evaluate promotional effectiveness and ROI.
    • Lead Trade Marketing & Category Management business planning aligned with Off Premise priorities and the country marketing plan.
  • CATEGORY MANAGEMENT

    • Lead Category Management projects with top customers, building strong relationships with their Category, Space, Logistics, and Marketing Managers.
    • Attend face-to-face meetings to present insights and collaborate on actions that improve in-store category performance. Analyze data and shopper insights to create tailored action plans that drive category turnover.
    • For non-top customers, provide initiatives and support to Key Account Managers, enabling them to implement improvements independently.
  • SINGLE POINT OF CONTACT FOR REPORTING TO THE INTERNATIONAL OFF PREMISE TRADE TEAM

    • Manage all international requests for data sharing and ensure local implementation of international tools.
    • Update the international dashboard monthly with accurate market data.
    • Organize and follow up on waves of store audits within the local market.
    • Implement global tools for in-store material creation, planogram development, and promotion performance evaluation.

EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • 5–7 years of experience in Category Management, Business Insights, or analytical sales within FMCG.
  • Proven leadership and team development skills.
  • Deep understanding of markets, sales & distribution, competitor activity, shopper behavior, category management, and business insights.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the commercial acumen to spot trends and drive strategy.
  • Ability to turn market insights into actionable, revenue-driving concepts.
  • Nielsen super user (AC Nielsen).
  • Experienced with planogram tools and retail execution systems.
  • Microsoft Office powerhouse (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with exceptional presentation skills.
  • Experience working with Power BI is a plus.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English (Danish is a plus)
  • University degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Travel 0-10%
